You're acting like this is such a unique role never seen before from Barbie. She's good at comedy yes, but this is not new from her. I just felt like Klay's personality is quite similar to her roles in past seryes like Karamia. The one in Heartful Cafe, now that was a different side of her playing an antagonist. I will be checking out the film that you've mentioned.
I honestly don't like her for her acting, but seeing how great she is at acting here, I was rather shocked. Now I know that it wasn't her that wasn't great at acting, it was her role, the writing, and the directing. These components are indeed needed for an actress's talent to shine.

Dont get me wrong. I love this concept of this show. Something new in the pinoy prime time tv i guess. Pero sana the casts worked well on how they pronounce the classic filipino words kasi mejo may arte pa rin sa pagbigkas nila ng malalalim na salita. I know di sila sanay obviously pero kaya nga sila artista and thats the job of the production to train them to say it as close as possible to how it should be said. May accent pa rin na modern yung pagbigkas nila. The accent is apparent sa mga lalaking cast esp kay Dennis at yung isa pa na young actor. Si Maria Clara naman, mas ok naman cya so far.

Noon daw kasing panahon ng mga Kastila hanggan panahon ng mga Hapon iba pa ang indoor plumbing at CR kaya pati mga babae sa daan iihi, itataas lang daw yung palda hanggang umangat sa bandang sakong yung laylayan sa likuran para maka-ihi, kaya ganoon daw kahaba ang mga laylayan ng saya ng babae.
the only problem i have with the show is the blatant telling of morals in conversations, instead of the viewers having their own opinions and forming their realization on what the episode is trying to convey, the characters are the ones who are saying it. Also the concept of the modern teaching the old fashioned about the new world is kinda pointless, she shouldn't try and make the main characters adapt her modern culture, rather it should be the other way around
the classic "show, don't tell" is really rare when it comes to Philippine TV shows. Kaya even if the concepts are really good, I just can't take the amount of exposition with the dialogues.
I get what you mean and im glad you pointed that out. Philippine film industry has yet a LOT to improve really. Just because a story is entertaining, is already enough for them. Kaya we like films and shows in hollywood and south korea because of being creative in script and visual. I hope Philippines catches up real soon
