  • Not sure what to expect during a CT scan? This 360 video gives you a sneak peek inside the scanner so you can feel a little more at ease.
To use 360 experience with a VR Headset, follow these steps:
Use a smartphone with an up-to-date TH-cam app installed
Select the TH-cam app to launch the video
Pause the video and click the headset symbol in the bottom right of the screen
The screen should split into two screens
Place the phone inside the headset and press play before closing
Place the headset over your face and take a look around
For a truly immersive experience use headphones.
If you don't have a VR Headset:
Use a smartphone for best results
Hold it horizontally so the video fills the screen
Hold the phone about 30cm (or about a foot) in front of your face
    Take a look around!
If you don't have a smartphone:
Click the 'full screen' icon on the TH-cam video
Use your mouse to take a look around.

How about the sound. I doubt it sounds like that lulling music you put on in the background.

      It’s actually very cool
As a young kid I had both a ct and mri done and the ct is preferred😃 not that the mri is scary, it’s just a lot more overly stimulating with all the different sounds

MRI is super noisy and very alarming and I found myself struggling not to move and run out because it was after I escaped my abuser and I was already panicked and triggered. CT is less noisy and much quieter

CT sounds like an accelerating train

@@kennedy4257 I had 2 scans since then. I fell asleep both times and had the best 30 minute power naps.

I would have liked a WHOLE video, instead of starting at the point of the contrast being administered. And we should have had the ability to hear the sound of the scanner.

It is basically an xray machine on a spinning disc inside. You get inside, they start the xray for five seconds, and turn it off.

Oh well! Was it even a real CT scan procedure or are you just showing the procedure for a CT scan? Because I didn't see the internal of the scanner spinning.

      Hi Paul B,
This is an acted scenario and is not a real CT procedure. Turning the scanner on would expose the actor to radiation without a medical reason for doing so. This video is simply designed to help those facing a scan get used to the environment. We hope you found the video useful.

If I had to have a CT scan of my abdomen and pelvis, firstly, would I go in feet first, and secondly, how long would the scan take? Can a CT scan detect where abnormal vaginal bleeding is coming from?

normally takes 2-5 minutes, sometimes they do it with an medicine that feels like your entire blood vessels are burning. Oh also sometimes the machine makes noises like MRI. The machine i used didnt use any sounds but some machines still do it. Also 7 months late lol.

    Hi Everyone,
For best results use your smartphone and the TH-cam app to look around while the video is playing. Simply move the phone to adjust the viewpoint. If viewing in browser, click and drag in the video frame. Unfortunately, Safari does not support 360 playback at this time. For best results, we recommend Google Chrome. We hope you enjoy!

I wanted to hear exactly how much noise is involved..there was just music. That's not realistic at all.

    • @ventilator98
      @ventilator98 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

You are RIGHT! It wasn't realistic. The music is not what would expect to hear in the scanner. You're going to hear the noise of the machine! That's what I would have liked to hear.

How much radiation is a person exposed to in a typical CT scan. I have seen other videos that say it is like 300 x-rays.
