    Angela Peralta Pantheon, MAZATLAN.
The Municipal Pantheon number 2 Ángela Peralta is considered one of the oldest and most architectural jewels of Mazatlán, it could well be a museum with 150 years of history, being founded in 1869
This was not the first cemetery in Mazatlán, and it was named in honor of the opera singer of international stature, Ángela Peralta, born in Mexico City, on July 6, 1845, and who died in the port of yellow fever, without being able to fulfill his mission of giving a concert in 1883.
In addition to being known as the oldest pantheon, it is also known as the cemetery of the stars. Because? There lie illustrious people from Mazatlan history such as the philanthropist German Evers, Enrique Mora, composer of the Alejandra waltz, or professor Agustina Monterde.
The remains of several illustrious people rest here, as is the case of the tomb of the Mazatlan composer and pianist Enrique Mora Andrade; who was a professor at the Academy of Music of Mazatlán and who composed the most beautiful waltzes in the world, the Alejandra and Emilia Waltz, among other compositions by this author are: the Pasodoble, Mexican Reverie, the Mazurkas, Leoba and Angelita and the March, Long live Cuevas, in honor of Insurgente Gregorio: I. Cuevas. Mora was born in Mazatlán on July 14, 1876 and died in 1913 of cirrhosis.
The tomb of the Gómez Rubio family, one of the wealthiest families in Mazatlán in the 19th century. This tomb is connected to that of the composer Enrique Mora, since Manuel Gómez Rubio's father ordered him to compose a Wedding March at his wedding to the talented musician.
