Mexican Revolution Monument
Among the most emblematic symbols of Mexico City, the Monument to the Mexican Revolution is almost as complex and ambiguous as the historical event it is intended to commemorate today. An unfinished architectural work, it began as the dome of a Palace for the Federal Legislative Power. Porfirio Díaz laid the first stone in 1910 (although the project had been planned since 1897), but Díaz's time outlived his time was already very brief and the Revolution of 1910 was about to begin. He was overthrown the following year after more than 31 years of holding almost absolute power.
Although the newly elected Francisco Madero financed the work until 1913, with the assassination of Madero and the beginning of the second and more violent phase of the revolution, the project languished. Although the revolution was more or less concluded in 1920, the changes were so profound that they delayed any resumption of the project for another 13 years.
Architect Carlos Obregón Santacilia proposed and won support for the idea of converting the now long-abandoned structure into a monument to the heroes of the Mexican Revolution. Work did not begin until 1933. The result is a unique blend of Art Deco and Mexican Socialist Realism superimposed over an existing, obviously neoclassical dome structure. Sculptor Oliverio Martínez designed four groups of stone sculptures for the corners of the monument, including those allegorically representing Independence, the Reform Laws, the Agrarian Laws, and the Labor Laws. Martínez enlisted the help of a young man, Francisco Zúñiga, who had arrived from Costa Rica to study sculpture in 1936.
The monument and underground museum also serve as a mausoleum for the fallen heroes of the Revolution. The monument is the final resting place of Francisco “Pancho” Villa, Francisco I. Madero, Plutarco Elías Calles, Venustiano Carranza, and Lázaro Cárdenas. - บันเทิง

Hola hola bro! Me gusta mucho como han mejorado las calles y dado un mejor aspecto al área del monumento de la Revolucion. De hecho nuestro hotel la última vez que fui a CDMX estaba allí a la vuelta y nos íbamos caminando al zócalo. Muchas gracias por tú video, dan ganas de ir a CDMX. ❤❤❤
