      @@houstonwelch4253 Yes, Jesus is returning to earth!
      Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. KJV
      Revelation actually describes Jesus' return to earth, to set up His kingdom for 1000 years.
      Revelation 19:11-16 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
      12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
      13 And he was clothed in a vesture dipped in blood; and his name is called the Word of God.
      14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
      15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
      16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. KJV

    I recent had a dream where I was in a large stadium in the middle of the field, and thousands of small children began walking out onto the field smiling, laughing, and chanting “Dave the Donkey” over and over. It was the most peaceful and happiest dream I ever had. When I woke up I thought of Dave the Donkey for many weeks before I finally decided to look it up. I never heard of Dave the Donkey before in my life so when I discovered that it was a Children’s story book about the donkey that Jesus rode on to Jerusalem before he was nailed to the cross, it floored me a little. I know it was a sign from God.

    You did not answer your own question: Why did Jesus ride a donkey into Jerusalem for his Triumphal Entry?
    You only spoke of the events and what they led to, vaguely.

    • @allenamanovic8541
      @allenamanovic8541 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The Rooted Word It used to be a costum if a new King conquer s a new land he had 2 choices:
      a) to ride a donkey- as a sign that all lives are spared
      b)to ride a horse- asasign that all the inhabitants are going to be murdered

    • @TheRootedWord
      @TheRootedWord 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@allenamanovic8541 Where is this information from. I've heard that taught as well, but never questioned it. You know, some scholars make up whatever seems the most reasonable and propagate it as wives tales are passed. It is always best to provide references when passing on unconfirmed authoritative statements.
      I didn't ask the question because I did not know, but to see what would be the answer. The Scriptures say:
      “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
      Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!
      Behold, your King is coming to you;
      He is just and having salvation,
      Lowly and riding on a donkey,
      A colt, the foal of a donkey.
      10 I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim
      And the horse from Jerusalem;
      The battle bow shall be cut off.
      He shall speak peace to the nations;
      His dominion shall be ‘from sea to sea,
      And from the River to the ends of the earth.’ [NKJV]
      Notice that humility is equated with his riding on the donkey. There are many examples of the wealthy and royalty riding on donkeys in the OT, but there is no indication that it had to do with humility. It is more likely that it was because the donkey is more gentle to ride than the horse. There are even references to white donkeys as a sign of wealth.
      Judges 5:10; 10:4; 12:14; 2 Samuel 16:2; 1 Kings 1:33
      The core feature of Christ's incarnation is the distance across which He humbled Himself by becoming man. There is no other distance from man to anything lower that is nearly as great as the distance between God and man. In other words, it is impossible for us to lower ourselves even a fraction of that which our Lord humbled Himself when He become a man. Riding the donkey symbolizes this humility, as Zechariah points out.

    He rode the donkey to show his humility and love for his chosen ones. They rejected him and crucified him. He is coming back riding on a noble creature/horse with a sword in his hand with fury and anger against all those who rejected him. At any given moment.

    Why did Yahusha, the One you call[Jesus] come riding into Jerusalem on a Colt or Male donkey?....Well,its quite simple....He was fulfilling a three-fold prophecy,with a fourth one in the rear. The First PROPHECY can actually be found in the book of [Genesis] 49:10,which says.."The scepter will not depart from [Judah], nor the staff from between His feet, until Shiloh comes and the allegiance of the nations is His"! "He ties His [DONKEY] to the VINE, His [COLT] to the choicest "BRANCH". "He washes His garments in WINE[Blood] of[Sacrifice], His robes in the BLOOD of grapes,[ the GRAPES of Wrath when He returns His robe will be dipped in Blood!] The Second prophecy is found in [Isaiah] 62:11
    Behold, YAHUAH has proclaimed to the end of the earth: "Say to the daughter of Zion"!, “Behold, your SALVATION comes; behold, His REWARD is with Him, and His recompense before Him.” The Third prophecy,of course, is found in [Zechariah] 9:9 "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion"! "Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem"! "Behold, your King is coming to you"; "He is just and endowed with SALVATION, Humble, and mounted on a donkey, Even on a Colt [Male donkey], the foal of a donkey[She-ass]". Yahusha of Nazareth, meaning[Salvation of Nazareth] did indeed come into Jerusalem,riding upon a Colt,which is a male donkey,but He was not alone, the Mother[ She-ass] did not travel far from behind her baby male colt....And why?..... Lazareth [Eleazar] [who was raised from the DEAD and who was the very proof of Yahusha's Messiah-ship] was following close behind Him riding upon the Mother donkey,the [She-ass]. It was LAZARUS who was tied to the "VINE"[Christ] and He was also tied to the Colt[Male donkey] which carried the BRANCH from Nazareth [The Messiah]! The scriptures make it clear,when its says...And then..."It was at that point in time that ..."A large crowd of Jews[Israelites] learned that Jesus[Yahusha] was there'. "And they came not only because of Him, but also to see Lazarus[Eleazar], whom He had raised from the "DEAD"..."So the Chief priests[Levites] made plans to put "Lazarus" to "DEATH" as well"...[John] 12:10......And finally,LAST, but certainly not LEAST....Then there is the PROPHECY of 1st [Kings] [1:32] when King David said,.. “Call in for me Zadok, the [Priest], Nathan, the [Prophet], and Benaiah, son of Jehoiada.” So they came before the King.... David said, “Take my servants with you,” and .“Set my Son Solomon on my own MULE and take Him down to Gihon"."There Zadok, the [Priest] and Nathan, the [Prophet] are to ANOINT Him [King] over Israel".....I hope that helps...... That's all....Shalom

      I know I'm late, but I wanna ask whether Yeshua rode on the 10th day of Abib or not. It is said to be a weekly Sabbath, given how he rode on a donkey's colt. Working donkeys aren't allowed to be ridden on the Sabbath. I dunno if this is true or not. Please explain.

    Jesus rode on a small donkey to show His humbleness

    • @bramleycookingapple
      @bramleycookingapple 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sounds like a good sentiment, but that was not the main reason. . Several years ago, I did not know what I know now . I have learned a lot from listening to Michael Rood to whom I give the credit.
      When Jesus came into Jerusalem, he was not riding a donkey, but he rode the colt of a donkey. It had to be that way, because if Jesus had ridden a beast of burden on the Sabbath (which it was), he would have broken the law. The text is accurate on this point; the colt had never been ridden (its mother was used to accompany it), hence it did not have to be rested, so Jesus did not break the law.
      For years, I puzzled over the fact of how Jesus could have been hailed by so many who would not have been expecting him on that day. Only those close to Jesus, when he began his ride, knew the significance and began to chant. Jesus hijacked the annual procession of the High Priest leading the Passover Lamb into Jerusalem leading to the Temple. It was the disciples of Jesus, who began the chant ahead of the High Priest returning from the fields. Once the chant was started, like a Mexican wave, the chant travelled along the line of people waiting all the way to the temple mount. Just imagine the surprise on the faces of the people, when instead of the High Priest and the Passover lamb, Jesus comes riding the colt (with its mother). The people chanted (expecting the High Priest); "blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD." However, it was when Jesus had rebuked the religious leaders in the temple, it was like signing his own death warrant, when he said to them; (Luk_13:35 ) "Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord".
      That is now my understanding of the events of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem.

    He rode into Jerusalem so the crowd would proclaim him King of Israel, which gave the princes of this world the reason they needed to crucify him. Thus playing into God’s hand.
    1 Corinthians 2:6-8 KJVS
    [6] Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: [7] But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom , which God ordained before the world unto our glory: [8] Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it , they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
    The death of our Lord then set the stage of the return of our Lord as a part of the Holy Ghost. Which is the mystery of God, Christ in you the hope of glory, Col 1:27.
    John 17:21-23 KJVS
    [21] That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. [22] And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: [23] I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

    I don't think this video answers the title question. In accordance with the royal Jewish custom (1:33,34/2 Kings 9:13), in kingly coronation, Jesus showed His acceptance of the tradition. And in giving evidence of His divinity, He chose a donkey "wherein yet never man sat" Luke 19:30). Ethologists affirm that unbroken mules are hopelessly stubborn due to fear of the unknown. But the animal on which Jesus rode, cooperated completely, recognizing its Creator's voice; even amidst all the clamor of a parade. The beast of burden, just like the sacrificial Passover lambs, led the Saviour to Calvarry.

    If people would just read The Holy Scriptures KJV (People DIED to preserve This Holy Bible) pray for understanding! The symbolic meaning here is that HE is a Conquering King coming in peace! According to the custom A conquering King & Army approaches a village in need of food and water (NOT war)the village arms themselves for battle no time for talk! The King dismounts and takes a donkey and rides towards the village the people see a Conquering King comes in peace on a donkey so they put down their weapons and trade food & water for silver.

    it was prophetic.....
    come on people
    read the bible 📖
    zechariah 9:9
    Up until this time, when anyone had tried to declare Jesus king, He responded - “my time has not yet come”. The triumphal entry was the only time Jesus presented Himself as King - perfectly fulfilling the prophecy in Daniel 9:25 made over 500 years before these events, and in Zechariah 9:9 in the method of His entry and declaration. Jesus was crucified and cut off, just as the prophesy in Daniel 9:26 predicts also in remarkable accuracy.
    These are just 2 prophecies, relating to the triumphal entry, fulfilled by Jesus, showing He was the promised Messiah. If you don’t believe, please look the verses and detail up yourself.

    He rode donkey because donkeys don’t freak out. The turmoil of world sin that Jesus Christ has taken on himself was an immense burden and he needed to reach the Jerusalem because that’s where the prophets are persecuted and killed.
    Horses run at the sight of disturbances especially around dark powers that’s why horses eyes are covered. But with donkey and mules etc they are bred for service to the masters. They are humbled.
    It is indeed our God who is wise that he would allow donkey to help Jesus Christ and show the world that he served his Father as we should.
    Love your God with all your heart, mind and soul and seek his kingdom first.
    Also with donkey it representyhis humility people approached him and welcomed.
    Horse is s sign of war. Conquerors, kings and warriors travel on horses.
    Lo and behold Jesus Christ is coming as a conqueror to whom God has given everything and we will be with him.
    God bless

    Ok so there's also one reason why Jesus ride a colt, because in ancient days when a ruler won the battle against the enemy, they used to ride donkey. Donkey being slow to walk was ridden as all people can celebrate the victory. In Zechariah prophecy "See, your king comes to you, righteous and VICTORIOUS". So, Jesus before the battle against death entered victorious. He knew he has already won the battle. It was an early celebration, even week before..

    Why did Jesus ride a donkey into Jerusalem for his Triumphal Entry? Because autiomobiles would not be around for thousands of years.

    It was the law since the EXODUS that the first born of every clean animal be offered to God.
    The first born donkey (colt) can be redeemed with a lamb in its place since donkeys are unclean and not worthy of sacrifice. If they want to keep the first born COLT of a ass (female donkey) they must purchase it with the blood of a lamb. If they don't do that they have to break the colts neck. That was The Law established from the passover.
    When Jesus rode the colt of an ass HE WAS THE LAMB
    We are the unclean redeemed by the lamb
    Jesus told his deciples to "borrow" the ass and her colt
    They would, in other words, be returned to the rightful owner after the sacrifice of the lamb.
    We will be returned to God our father and rightful owner

    It was only one!! Donkey!! Jesus rode into town on one donkey . Bibles are changing supernaturally as predicted in Amos PROPHECY is being fulfilled right now. Since 2016. Thousands of changes. Isaiah 116-9 No LONGER says the Lion will lay down with the Lamb instead it reads The WOLf will dwell with the Lamb. Wake up time is short 💝🦁🐑🕊💫

    it says that they could have cloak on( them) and he rode on( them) how can you ride on two animals at the same time I seen them do it in the circus but I don't think Jesus was doing it like a circus act maybe it's a mistake.
