4:00 the call on the river - you got very confused about pot odds my friend. There was $550 in the pot, he bets $200. So you're getting $750:$200 = 3.75:1. You need about 21% equity, or to be good about 1 in 5 times. I saw the video (good camera angle, sir) and everything about his bet said "Please give me $200."
It was about the nut worst card for you, most because it could have been AsXs that caught top pair.
But ignoring what he "should" or "could" have, rivers are just so under-bluffed and everything about that bet (size, action, all of it) screamed value.
I don't play poker in Texas so 🤷♀️ but elsewhere in the world, if you keep a big fat Fold button near you when you have one pair and villains bet big value sizing on the river, you'll be much happier.
I’ve seen the pot odds correction made on here before, I’ve tried to explain it too, and someone always comes along and says what you said is wrong. It’s nice to see someone else isn’t crazy. But in all honesty, the more people who make critical math errors, the happier I am.

This is definitely not how pot odds work according to every poker training video I've ever watched. Your call definitely counts toward pot odds because it's part of the pot at that point. So you're calling 200 to win 950 in this example. That having been said, I don't think that call with KK was good, as I don't think you're good there like..ever...on that board.

@@TheNernst79you are saying the same thing in different way. You don’t count the money you are putting in for pot odds. You only count your money when determining equity. .
Example below.
If it’s $25 to win $75 which is 3-1 pot odds but it’s $25 for $100 pot(with your $25) is 25% equity needed.
Using the poker pot odds chart, we know that 3:1 is equivalent to 25% equity. This can be confirmed by adding up the total pot going into the turn, including your call. Then simply take the amount you have to call and divide it by the pot ($25 divided by $100, which makes 0.25, or 25%).

If you bet $800 and he rips the rest, it's going to be a tough situation. But my attitude about those situations is to cross that bridge when you come to it. I'd raise the KQ tp. There are a ton of hands that want to see the turn here. You need to make it hurt, especially with no redraws of your own. If you had the fd, a call would be OK.

On that set off king's, you needed to fold again. He wasn't invested enough. Another check and he bets bigger and that makes it tougher for him to fold.
