Car should be as simple as possible..it should be more rugged. Ultimately it has to run on Indian roads filled with mud, water, stones. More electronics, more chance of failure and trouble.

Taxation is killing the car manufacturers and is based on cars length and engine capacity, that's why companies are focused on features because this is the only area from where they can earn more and show some value to the customers

Car manufacturers should go back and focus more on mechanical aspects. If they can provide 99% reliability on electrical features, then only they should provide it else no, just to increase sales or attract customers, it should not be done. Also sunroofs should be only optional and not forced on higher end variants.

All prospective buyers must watch this video. I was astonished to know that the cost of one air bag replacement in Mahindra XUV is Rs 40000. 6 Air bags cost Rs 240,000. Govt has made mandatory to have airbags and hence the Prices of cars have increased. CST,GST,Registration, insurance etc accounts for around 35-45% which is ridiculous.

I just sold a decade old amaze diesel recently just because it did not have airbags and some uncertainty over diesel. Latter was not a big factoe though. Planning to buy new amaze.

Very good video talking about reality. In today's world people have lost their mind in big cars.

I have VXI 2013 ERTIGA CNG clocked 95K till date no major issues since it Maruti Suzuki ❤. Was planned to swap it with XUV700 AX7 MT Diesel as my monthly highway drive is 170 kms and was looking for safe car. After seeing your video I think to continue with ERTIGA for some time and be debt free. The new car prices are so heavily taxed and it makes to rethink on our decisions.

Still driving 2009 Honda city V CVT. No fancy gadgets or sensor to break down or worry. Dose the job perfectly for going from point A to point B.
And best part is money spent on car purchase is well utilized.

True, I am driving my alto car since 15 years, local + highway, drove 1 lac + kms till now, not a single air bag, zero safety rating. But not a single scratch on my car.
My friend purchased 'Thar' this '24 new year (5star rated)and drove with speed of 100 and collided with a tree and lost his life. All airbags open during accident but couldn't save his life.
It's all about how you drive.
    Drive responsibly!

3:01 I had enough money to purchase car with full payment, but I opted for loan with 20% down payment and purchased Baleno Delta which is fulfilling my all needs so didn't go for Zeta model to increase loan amount.
