inspired by your video i played GAT the first time yesterday. got COMPLETELY STOMPED by monoblack aggro haha matchup seems impossible. won against landstill and sligh, and lost to threshvore for a 2-2 finish. deck felt super fun to play, but i think we can pack some call of the herds for those super aggro matchups! :)
@@lannynyny Yeah, I think I missed elephants and also some grave hate, tormod's could be perfect. against threshgeddon it would have been game changing.
So I listened to your podcast for the first time today since you mentioned it here (latest episode) and I knew Flores was wrong about his description of priority and man... the following 20 minutes was pure gold
Love the changes! I had already gone down to 3 fire//ice and I could definitely see 2. Felt like my biggest use for them aside from creature decks was just having another way to kill a mage on something I care about. I also love 1-2 daze. I felt like it would be nice to have them and an opponent seeing a daze and not knowing how many you have is insanely powerful.
Is there any merit to something like 2 chill/2 call of the herd? I could definitely see not needing 4 call but I kind of feel like chill is sort of an all or nothing card. I find mine get blasted a decent amount so just overloading them is key. Also a lot of games I almost need 2 chills for them to actually win me the game.
I think if you want red to be a reasonable matchup, it's gotta be 4 chill, or else you're trying to get lucky. Getting a chill blasted just means you're happy that at least there's 3 more chills to draw towards! Plus sometimes you get it under blast with mox or they tap out and then can have counterspell to protect.
@@davek4170 I'm not against it (some players are trying rotting giant as well). It does feel like I don't ship my whole hand and yard that often with 'tog
Such great commentary will give the podcast a listen
Sick "Fran is my friend so he'll have Exalted Angel" read 😂
Great plays.

MBA is one of the worst matchups for sure, not sure how I'd fix it, maaaybe elephants?

Congrats on the win! Long live GAT 🎉
I wonder if 2 or 3 Wastelands could be good in the deck
I talk a bit in the intro about how I’ve moved away from making the deck about tempo, but also too many decks are all/mostly basics

What about call of the herd over psychatog?

This deck can worki without mox diamond????
Unfortunately no
Keen to see you with replenish. You haven't a league on TH-cam with it... sadly
Both Replenish gamers losing handily to not hitting their land drops in time... But I'm the crazy one for wanting 26+ lands, right?
