I think what I have been learning by watching Tom is just how fluid movements can be and how much it adds to the overall drawing when you have that confidence behind it. I think the idea of using something as simple as a tooth brush for blood spatter is kinda cool. I also enjoyed seeing his skill with that gel pen of his. It really makes things pop off that page.
I always love watching these videos you put on your channel, it's always interesting to see how people do what they do best! I also like seeing how the different artists start their drawings but then as the drawing progresses, their individual styles shine through! Great video and can't wait for more!!
It's a simple technique to splatter paint onto the canvas. Like when you brush your teeth. running your finger over it, top to bottom, splatters water in a certain direction. Same here, but to make it look like splattered blood.
I learned how to better use markers like the prisma color ones I have... not sure if he was using prismacolor but they were certainly the same type of ink... also, brown paper makes those white highlights stand out and it looks freakin amazing
I love his drawing! Say Evan could you make a tutorial on how to draw a similar Wolverine. I just got into drawing again and have been using your tutorials and I really think there starting to help, so thank you a million! I've always wanted to draw superheroes and characters like that but never knew how to. You put in such a simple understanding it really helps. Well please let me know if you could do a Wolverine tutorial, I sure would appreciate it! Thanks again!
I believe I'ma go out and find some sort of pen that resembles what that white utensil could do. I would also like an explanation on the toothbrush and paint, that was awesome!
Yea I was just thinking that, im a very clean drawer so I like to use clean lines on the first attempt but sketching this way really helps. I found this out after going to a few drawing classes.
I learned that every drawing doesn't need to be very colorful. I wanted to ask you if you could draw full body of my favorite heroes Knightwing and Wolverine? I would be very happy if you draw my favorite heroes. // PS could you draw Knightwing from Young Justice if you can't that's ok.

i learned a technique from this video that was learning to use a toothbrush and paint to make blood splatter everywhere ^^ Thank You Evan i will be using this technique for my artwork too. :)
To be honest I didn't really learn anything while watching him ^^; But that's probably because I'm an art major so I've already been versed on a lot. Now it's all up to me! But seriously, he's a great artist. Watching him just makes me want to draw.
I'm really wanting to learn about drawing, but I'm afraid that just because I don't know the name of a technique, that I won't be a good artist. Also, I don't have "proper equipment."
Fundamentals man. Drawing free can make some interesting results but using a 'skeleton' is so much better for scoping your vision of what you wanna make.

I learned and Im always interested in the different lighting and shading techniques artist use.
Were the flecks of white on the face to add a bit of shine, such as defining the part that wasn't in shadow?
Thanks for sharing! What I learned? It's all about confident flowing lines AND an off-white paper shows up the white highlights better :D
