From my experience, red dragon fruit has a very mild taste. But if you get yellow dragonfruit with a white inside, it is much sweeter. Edit: I don’t know about red dragonfruit with a white inside.
I'm surprised that such tropical fruit can be grown in Guizhou--a plateau where the average temperature is around 16 degree, most of the time it's pretty cold for tropical plants.
