Model ke anusaar vary karta hai, agar model me likha hai ke WIFI ENABLED then wifi in-built hai, just option set karke use karna hai, no need to purchase and install chip

Remotes many times have non-functional buttons. This is done to save cost of making too many different remotes in mass market.
To confirm whether your AC has WiFi or not confirm from your sales person or on the packaging.
Usually only the high end Lloyd AC (like Grande, Stellar) comes with WiFi inbuilt.
