I purchased a GREE unit with two handler‘s from Home Depot about 18 months ago but it was just installed in my cabin about six months ago. It is Wi-Fi capable. Because my installer indicated that it had the capabilities to expand to three zone I went ahead and located the exact same handler (model number identical) and we installed it in the other upstairs bedroom. So I have three zones all identical and that all have Wi-Fi capability. I installed the GREE app, set up an account, set up my Wi-Fi and it immediately picked up the very last handler that we installed which was the one that we added to the original unit. The original unit from Home Depot is definitely wifi and all three remotes have the wifi buttons. In the app when I click add to add another unit, I go through all of the prompts and it appears to be searching for the unit but even if I stand underneath it, it doesn’t pick it up. I can’t get the original two handlers connected. It’s definitely not the Wi-Fi Internet connection because the Wi-Fi Internet modem is downstairs in the living room and I can’t even get it to connect to the one that’s mounted onto the wall in the same room as the modem. It very quickly picked up and connected to the handler that was in one of the upstairs bedroom which is very far away from the Internet modem. I have tried the Troubleshooting tip of holding the remote control pointing at the unit and holding down the buttons until it beeps but nothing happens and nothing changes on the remote or within the app. What’s weird is even though only one unit is connected to the app all three remotes show the Wi-Fi icon on the screen. Batteries are all brand new. What is supposed to happen when you are in the app and you hold the remote to the unit and press the buttons for over five seconds until you hear the beep? Please I need some tips on getting these other two connected. For clarification mine is a 36,000 BTU 22 seers heat/AC unit. Thank you!

I managed to link the AC successfully, however the AC always appears offline in the app.
When I first bought it last year it worked normally but ever since it unlinked itself I can't manage to link it again and make it work.

Finally done it. I've had to: stop mobile services on my phone, stop 5Ghz and backup 5Ghz connection on my router, set my 2.4Ghz band to 20/40 (default it was on 40) and it finally connected. Attempted this like 15 times so it works, it's just very specific and they don't say anywhere.
Steps I recommend:
1. AC shut down
2. Router 5Ghz connection(s) off
3. Make sure that 2.4Ghz connection also allows 20Mhz
4. Press Mode + Wifi / Mode + Turbo on remote control
5. Open application and wait ~2 minutes and the hotspot will appear
6. Connect to the hotspot (if first time use default pwd displayed in the app)
7. After a few seconds (if all goes well) it will display again the wifi connections and you will need to choose again your 2.4Ghz wifi connection
8. Done.
9. If it fails at any step go back to step 4 and try again.

thanks for that comment, I did everything as you wrote, but unfortunatelly did not work :( after 2-3 hours of fighting I have no energy to continue, I got still the same error in the app: "SD10". I will try another day, Best regards.
ps. Next day I set 2 more things and it worked finally:
1) 20 MHz only
2) 802.11g only
(app version: 1.19.1 for iOS)

Can't connect. The process reach 99% and then gives an error. The error says to be sure i am on a 2.4ghz connection and to be sure the wifi password is correct. And of course i confirmed that and the result is always the same. My ac is a gree pular 2023.

have you stopped 4G on your phone, and try before you connect to WiFi, press the MODE+WiFi button again and when you press the air conditioner control, does the WiFi sign appear?

I don't know what's wrong. I followed all instructions (even all troubleshootings from the comments) but it never worked on my Google Pixel 8 Pro. I had to switch to my iPhone in order to make it work. I was connected to the right network (2.4GHz), 20/40 MHz, right encryption and ferquency etc but I think the issue is either related to my phone or the Android app. Such a shame that we're still struggling with those kind of stuff in 2024. Gree should definitely do something about it.

Hello, the noise or air of the air conditioner does not change either cooling or heating, but it can make more noise when you increase the heating number or when you decrease the temperature cooling number. Otherwise, you have the sleep button, it makes less noise. and used while sleeping!

I changed the name of router in order to have only letters not any symbols.The tough thing on that is that you have to connect again all your devices with you router.

When you hold down Mode+WiFi, does the air conditioner make a sound, try two methods to hold down Mode+WiFi until the air conditioner makes a sound, and the other time you keep it pressed until the WiFi signal is found!

Cannot connect Device error - here is what you need to do
1. Disconnect from 5Ghz and connect your phone to 2.4GHz on your wi-fi router.
2. Do the Reset as instructed
3. The app will then show the device as a Hotspot (wif-fi connection) on your phone networks
4. Connect to it - default PW is 12345678 - there is no internet access which is fine.
5. Go back to app- it should be connecting - it should tell you to connect to your 2.4Ghz connection (as per step 1)
6. Go to your Networks on your phone and connect to your network
7. Should now have added the Device.....
