Why All Girls Camp? (Ian and Luke, 2023)

When choosing a summer camp experience, what would compel you to pick an all girls over a coed camp? Meet Luke and Ian, two international staff members from Wales and Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
As two men in a female-dominated space, Luke and Ian were initially apprehensive about living in a bunk with the only other 15 males on camp. Would it be overly masculine? Would forming relationships with the campers be inhibited by gender differences?
The same way that girls at Romaca develop a strong sisterhood amongst one another, Luke and Ian quickly found that the male staff at Romaca develop a comparable brotherhood; nothing brings our male staff closer together than going through the unique experience that only the other 15 of them will ever understand, and that's being a "guy at an all girls camp".
