Thank you. You helped walk me through my first experiment creating a custom airport diagram for a private, non-charted airport.

    Hi Simon,
Too funny: I just discovered your videos today concerning ForeFlight, because tomorrow I continue my training to requalify for my SEP and I need a good planning app. The funny part is I immediatly recognised your hotelroom on this video, because actualy I returned last night from Bangkok from the same Airport hotel. I hope you took a nice bath behind that window before you flew back.
By the way I recommend bringing your own cutlery and plates if you go next time, because they recently switched to serve their great curries with disposable ones. I found it quite a bummer last time, but happy I solved that issue this time.
Thanks for helping me determine which program to use and hope to bump in to you on a layover
    Safe flight and regards,
    Bastiaan
P.S. Your don't have to apologise for your accent. You speak very clear and understandable.

Are these aviation charts like US Sectional charts which have a Lambert Conformal projection? If so, georeferencing is dependent on having many points, especially for latitudes above 40 deg. Unfortunately most software is incapable of working directly with Lambert projection :-( I see you are using many points, as well as points at the important places. Well done!!

Hi there! Thanks for your comment! Yes, our aviation charts use the Lambert conformal conic projection just as your sectionals 😉

Hi! Thank you for this amazing video. We're stoked that you're happy with our Georeferencing tool. Would you mind if we would mention you across our MapTiler channels - Twitter, maybe website (and of course give you a credit)? Thanks and keep up your great work
