Great interview - nice to listen to some of my favourite painters chatting. I would love GW to release a big celebration Golden Demon hardback book (similar to the Visions of Heresy is size) - with GD entries from the 1980's to today
That would be such an awesome collectible. It would be wonderful because honestly, the site is a little difficult to navigate and find what you're looking for.
Really interesting interview. Haven't seriously attempted OSL yet, but the discussion around the Richard's goblin mini has got me inspired; some of what you both mentioned helped demystify it a bit.
I’m so excited I got into one of his classes at Adepticon! He is one of the artists I searched out after seeing a piece online (that knight with the rose tzeentch shield - magnificent!)
Good interview. I wish you would have visited Richard Grey's Instagram and queued it to your bottom right window. This way you could have shared his posted photographs with the audiance, as you progressed through the interview.
Thanks again for this video!!! Sorry I comment a lot you're videos since few days but I can assure you, I'm not a stalker ^^, it's just that I paint nearly everyday and I discovered your chanel not so long ago (thanks to Chris). And I like listening miniatures related videos.
Don't get me wrong, Mortarion looks absolutely incredible, but don't you think the eyes draw all the attention from the whole model and thats usually something you like to avoid in your own works, Vince? Just curious.
They are very...eye catching. ;) No in all seriousness, I think they are also balanced by the fact there are 2 of them pulling the eye to the middle (which is the face). It's also a good example of when you can break a rule for artistic purposes. The great story is just worth breaking the guideline.
Open up my AK interactive enameled streaking grime. show then instantly says he got the wrong paint with was enamel.... Not bothered by it still going to experiment with it just funny tho.
love this series vince, cheers to richard and yourself for taking the time to share all this with us.
This was great, Richard is truly one of my heroes and it was wonderful to sit down with him.
so so good, hes one of my favorite painters as well. Thanks for doing this lads, it was great.
Thank you, this was so much fun to sit down with him.
Great interview. I love your format and questions, and he's one of the most impressive painters I've seen. You made my night of priming fly by!
That's wonderful, happy to help as always. :)

@janet jackson Probably between £30 - £50 depending on how large they made the book. Pricey, but worth it.
Great series and great interview Vince. Gray's work is world class and his Morty is possibly the sickest paint job I have ever seen. Thanks!
I know, it's absolutely stunning, a truly beautiful piece of art.
Thanks for doing this interview. I could learn a ton from it. Absolutely inspiring!
Glad you enjoyed it!

We need Ben Komets on this too! Would be great!
I'd love to talk to Ben. :)
Well, he's definitely NOT gray!
Nope, full color. :)

Yep, very different paints than the normal acrylic paints we are used to.
This dude should have at least placed second in the crystal brush .
It's such an amazing piece of work for sure.
