Casey Neistat brought me to Van Neistat. Van Neistat brought me to Tom Sachs. This is the purest modern representation I've seen on how great artists steal from other artists.
@@billypilgrim1 That's a great point. The purposefully imperfect, not-right-until-it's-been-sharpied-and-destroyed-a-bit style is what I think of when trying to identify and "original" in this group. That part seems like it came from Tom...which must have come from somewhere. Who came before him?!
@@yakultk.8370 I do feel kinda robbed. I never heard Casey talk about his inspiration for the studio even though most of the main elements seem to be copied from Tom. So I feel cheated in that sense. But I might have missed it. Or Casey might have contributed to Toms studio some of those elements.

It’s like Tom Sachs infected them with a creativity
Each revelation makes the previous seem so less original.
@@jameslueken7329 That's really accurate. However, when it comes to Van is sort of a half truth; All of Tom Sachs movies were directed and shot by Van

Van videos - "I made a show with HBO."
Casey videos - "Where's my skateboard?"
Tom is everything else in their videos.
Tom Sachs inspired Van Neistat, who inspired his brother Casey, and Casey inspired a bunch of TH-camrs. But who inspired Tom...
