- I have a few projects in mind to make but before I can, I need to add my Riser Base with Honey comb plate. While doing it, I may as well add the air Assist too. Both of the option extras make using the xTool M1 so much easier and better.

Absolutely the best video that I found on setting up the riser base and installing the Air Assist! Thank you so much 💕
Thank you for watching 🧡 hope it helped
@@SoyandShea it really did!!!
I’d love something like this but honestly have no real use for it but that doesn’t stop me from wanting one.
😆 I'd find a use for it 😂 I have actually found more uses for it than I initially thought.
Thank you for this wonderful video. Very easy to follow and no extra "fluff". I am waiting to receive the rest of my stuff so I can set it all up and this will help me to not be afraid of the process.
Have fun with it. Never be afraid of a process as this is how mistakes happen. Just take it one step at a time 🧡
Thank you soo much, I finally got the time and space to put mines together after months and was really overwhelmed, your video helped me sooo much! Thank you!
Thank you for watching 🧡 so pleased it helped. Have fun playing
Thank you so much for this and taking everything so slowly. You can actually have this video running whilst fitting the part. Too many videos rush through and you have to keep rewinding. Great video, you are great to watch. I will check out your other videos too.
Thank you. So pleased it helped and was easy to follow 🧡
Really enjoy watching these videos :)
Thank you 🧡
I was wondering about the room. The window and hose positions looked different.
It looks so much easier to understand when you show your new additional parts in separate videos. What a awesome machine. Looks so fun to experiment with.
Cheers 👍💕
I'm having so much fun with the machine and glad to have the larger space. The only tricky bit is the air assist but taking it step by step, it's quite straightforward to assemble. The community group is also really good
Really good demo.
Thank you for watching 🧡
Getting ready to set up my Air assist, thank you for the detailed tutorial 🙂
Thank you for watching 🧡 Glad it was helpful!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! My M1 arrived a few days ago. It is the first crafting machine of any kind I've ever had and while I was excited to have it, I was also a bit nervous. I bought the whole package include the machine, the riser, the air purifier and the air assist and have slowly been adding the bits. I have watched a handful of other videos on how to install the air assist. I was holding off on installing that because I didn't like the idea of taking bits of the machine apart. The other videos don't come close to the clear and ACCURATE instructions of your presentation. Thank you again. I will be adding both the air assist and the riser ASAP.
Thank you for watching and so glad it helped. Have fun playing with your machine 🧡
Hello, me again. I'm having a bit of bother getting my air assist on even with your wonderful instruction. Yes, I'm THAT dense! Three things- 1) the bit of hose between the two white markings - it either coils enough to get a kink when the carriage is at the far right corner or, if I do what I can to remove the coil, rises above the level of the cover. Will that open the cover when it's operating? I haven't actually used the air assist yet so I don't know. 2) that same bit of hose also seems to obstruct the carriages movement when it's at the near right corner and 3) is there a best way to route the other end of the hose TO that hole in the right side of the riser. What is I want to use the blade cutter? I can't see a way to route that hose that doesn't get in the way of putting the base plate back in or the carriage. Little help, please.
Really good vid especially re the glitch you faced 😂and the remedy. Cant wait to see the vid re the pen creation. Good one again. Thanks so much. ❤❤
Will have that next video out in a couple of weeks 🧡
@@SoyandShea oh great. Im going to save pennies and buy something soon promise. Lol
@@SoyandShea ever thought of doing demos for a living. If u ever cant do EVERYTHING lol else you do? Youre so good at it. You make it informal and interesting. Wonder what Life Path number you have. Im a numerologist. Fascinating. Xx
Thank you so much for this video!! I just got my new xtool m1. You made it so much easier for me. I hate reading directions. Lol❤
Have fun playing with it!
Got both the exclusively crafted pouch & pen from my order!! Thanks so much, it's just so unique and special.
Thank you for joining and supporting me 🧡
Thanks for the video. It helps me so mutch to install my airassist.❤
Thank you for watching 🧡 have fun with your machine
What an awesome machine! I can’t wait to see the projects you’ll do😮
It's so great. I highly recommend it. 🧡
Hi, great video 😊. But to add, I understand from another M1 user that the air assist can be left in place when not being used. Like you showed it's a bit of a faff refitting it everytime it is removed.
Thank you for watching 🧡 you could leave it on, but I have found it best to remove it if you're doing blade cutting
Well done video!
Thank you 🧡
What a wonderful machine Keeley, cant wait to see all the wonderful things that you can do with it.I love your pamper bags and i do like your new drawer lots of space in each drawer. Are you in a different room as it seems so much bigger and brighter? Thank you Keeley for sharing all the information 😊 xx
Yes. I mention in the video I'm in a new room and why 😁 the drawers are really useful and hold so much.
I have a question about the noise with air assist and air purifier, not sure if you have the filter. This video is amazing and so informative. X-Tool made a good decision!
I don't have the air Purifier for the M1 as I vent it through the window. You can hear the air of the air assist blowing but its not as loud as the machine.
@00:25:42 how did you like it up? Mine isn’t on straight (still works fine but tried both and every single start position and still couldn’t get parallel!) I am yet to try the seals works fine on an off angle but a little annoying may have another try!
My only other comment is the smell is unbearable from the machine even with the hose out of the window and an air purifier in the room! Almost enough to send it back 😔
I think the main reason for getting the attachment parallel is to make sure the hose points in the right direction. I found using one of the seals helped with that and gave a better seal.
With regards to the smell, unfortunately wood will always get that aroma when any form of heat is applied. You get it when cutting with jigsaws or even wood burning. The smell is considerably less than those that have open lasers.
@@SoyandShea many thanks for replying ! I have managed to get it working on an angle (may use the seal ring to straighten it next), it’s worked fine so far just overlaps slightly on the display when doing the edit,
I’ve always just been worried about the smell seems quite strong, I have the window open and hose and also an air purifier to try get the smell cleared (usually turns orange from green to show pollutant) just concerned if it’s a health issue, surprised there isn’t a cover that can be used or supplied
Nice video! One question: Can the M1 also be used to engrave ABS plastics, which are often used for device surfaces (e.g. these white power supply units from Apple)?
From my understanding, plastics should not be laser cut or etched due to toxic fumes.
I’ve just ordered mine . Watching your videos is really helpful. Can I ask what do you have on your window for the exhaust tubing . I live in Australia and we have screens on the windows as you know. I would appreciate your advice
How exciting! It's so much fun. We have crime safe on our windows, so we can't take them out.
While we're in winter, I've jammed the the hose between the window and the frame. Before summer, I plan to cut a hole with the laser in some wood to hold the hose and the put it in the window tracks. Hope that makes sense
Thank you for this really helpful video! I was so nervous about installing the air assist but your video and a few others I watched gave me the confidence i needed. One issue I am having, though, is that in order to feed the air assist tubing to the outlet hole from the inside it has to obstruct the base plate if I want to do blade cutting. Am I missing something? I can't seem to find a way to run the tubing without it doing this. Thanks!
When you put your base plate in, there is a notch in the lower right corner. The tube will sit in that gap.
@@SoyandShea thank you! I finally discovered this when I just went ahead and tried to put the base in-then saw the notch. Appreciate your answer.
I am loving this machine!
First, thank you for the very thorough videos. Wondering how you felt about the height of the machine after installing the riser? Would you prefer a shorter cabinet?
Thank you for watching 🧡 I like the height of the riser, and it feels much sturdier than the wooden blocks that came with the machine. I have used the highest height more often than the others, so I definitely don't want it shorter.
Can you tell me where is your red dot in the machine. I’m not sure where it supposed to babe but it’s off to one side and my image does not cut right. Thank you
As the red dot is a laser light, it can move according to how high the object is you have under it, and if you have the riser, how low the plate is. If I have the solid plate in mine, it's in the middle before I put anything in. If I'm using the riser at its lowest level, it can be off the lower left. The downside of the camera is that it is fisheyed, which can distort where the cutting is so you need to factor this in with placement
Hello, nice video. Does the auto-measure worked after installing the honeycomb?
Yes it does. The auto-measure is measuring the distance between the laser and the item you are cutting/engraving
@ Thanks. I just find out my mistake.
@ I have another question if you don’t mind.
How to place multiples dog wood tags and engrave. When I send it to engrave the letters is not aligning with the tags, but if I place only one tag it works ok. Do you have any idea?
@@bimatube1274 One of the disadvantages of the machine is the "fish-eye" camera which distorts how placement looks. The further the object is away from the center point of the camera, the harder it is to line up. I would suggest creating a template to put your tags into and using that to line up the work. I show how to do this with pens/pencils th-cam.com/video/WLjtv5_dJJk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NhLPS_5Zi-zlXLdA
Can you cut clear and mirror acrylic?
Not with this as it is a diode laser. To do that, you need a CO2 laser.
Realy good. Can u put your image in tumbler also name
Sorry I don't use tumblr plus the design for the vegetable stakes were purchased so I can't share
Can you show how to cut korean hard felt
Sorry but I don't use that type of felt
Hi, Just watched your video. I just got my machine. Would you be willing to share your file for the soap holder? Would love to make some for Christmas for my family!
The file is easy enough to create. Just create the words using the text tool in the creative studio and place where you want them. Then save the project. I have found there are slight differences in the width of the wood on the tray so I often need to adjust where the words are to make sure it fits. For this reason, I don't share the file in case it doesn't work on your soap dishes
I just set mine up, so nervous
Have fun with it 🧡
