@BrittMcalister You give great tips for good places to eat and places of interest for me and my son when we come to 38 park avenue. Nice to not immediately have to run around looking for good food. Thanks. J.
Dude that soup is Chinese Hot Pot. I get that your from the South and don’t have access to multicultural variety there. But in California there are a lot of variations of hot pots from different cultures like: Mainland China, Tawainese Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese. Checkout more ethnically diverse states.
I suggest you try an actual Filipino soup and give me your thoughts on that. That is a Chinese Hot Pot soup. Try the Filipino national soup sinagang. The dishes you’re featuring are mostly imported from other cultures.
@@BrittMcalister there’s a lot of authentic Bisaya Filipino food to try in Cebu. My wife is from there. Try Rico’s lechon. Cebu lechon is distinctive from the rest of the Philippines. It’s like the equivalent to Memphis barbecue to other states with barbecue. They have the lechon on lock there.
@timtarr9364 I've been to 13 islands so far in the Philippines. I do these videos because people normally should start out in a city. Less culture shock. I've driven and stayed in many towns here IN Cebu.
@timtarr9364 I'm no expert. Just going by the information I researched before moving here. All the other bloggers posted things that helped me. Here to do the same. Even putting together a support group for 1st arrivals.

@angamerc5373 If you don't like spicy. Tell them to take it down a notch.
@@BrittMcalistersure will try do you still go to Starbucks central block?
@angamerc5373 yes. My friends go every day. I try to make it.
Exchange rate at 58.2 php, it's 11.4 dollars. Just saying...
And how do they pack 'to go'? Plastic bag? Can't do it if it's hot.
Today's exchange rate is 58.759 pesos per dollar. They give you a big plastic bowl and then wrap it in plastic. Thanks for commenting.

Gotta laugh at people who comment w/o knowing where other expats have already been.
So you been here a year and have been to 13 islands bs and what makes you the expert on saying normally people should start out in the city
