Great video, mate. I live in Australia (WA) and we have days of 45C. The main bathroom has a big window and it becomes a over... and cooling it down is a nightmare. I need to install the 5% shades as you recommended. Cheers!
As an installer, what is it that you need to know before you install the tint like the different glass windows and all of that and what tools do I need to know what type of glass or window it is please and thanks
59 seconds into the video, you say that the top sample blocks 35% of heat, and the next one down block 49% of heat, and the bottom one blocks 60% of heat... then at 4:27 you review and give completely different answers, saying that the top one blocks 60% of heat, the next one down - 70% of heat, and the bottom one 75% of heat. So, am I missing something or....?
@@mookm6639 I'm really annoyed right now. The information confirming this are salesman who don't propose a solution other than to have a professional gauge the existing coating on your windows. Low-E vs window tint. Some are saying most homes have an argon injectes between the panes and it doesn't thermally expand. Others are saying it doesn't matter. Another person said they last up to 5 years and start to bubble, which is really annoying. I have 1 window with clear privacy film on it and that window has a big crack on the other side. That's how it was when I bought the house. Feel like I got no where on this.
@@mookm6639 When the film absorbs heat, as it should, the two panes trap the heat which prematurely degrades the seal. Some window manufacturers will void a warranty if you install an aftermarket film. Manufacturers sell windows with glass tinted for not that much $$ extra and it’s in the glass not a film that will eventually bubble and peel
I'm confident that any window film application would increase the efficiency of low e and adds the value of 99% uv protection. Excluding the very dark tints that could and likely will have expansion breaks.
You’ve explained it more to me than the sales rep here in AZ! Wish you were out here’s. Thanks for the education!
I just want it to block all the heat coming in, and I want the natural light to come in

Excellent video!! Exactly what I was looking for to help me understand the best for my home
Thanks for the very informative video!
Great video - other than Avery, is there another window film just one step down that you think is still good?
If you don’t mind me asking. Where did you get the sample cards you have on the glass. I have looked on their website and can’t find them.
How do you know what to pick for dual/double pane windows?
Have you ever used a plotter for cutting square and rectangle windows?
What brand recommended ? Was looking at BDF or Gila

Although I see the benefits of privacy of window tint during the day, what about at night with the lights on? What privacy does it cover if any?
Just buy blackout window film. Black or white.
Are there some residential and commercial glass that you can’t install tint on? Such as double pane glass? Can window film cause the glass to crack?
Are you guys a distributor as well for other installers in other states? Looking for a great and reliable company. Thank you.
Good informative information. Thank you
Should I do this on a Double Pane window? or do I risk seal failure?
This is what I want to know!
Have you ever encountered issues with thermal cracking? If you place the foil on the interior, i imagine the glass has to absorb more...
I would love to see actual tests rather than just words. Tests to see the before and after room temperatures, etc.
Does clear film give privacy from nosey neighbours?
Where can I buy this product?
Nice!!!
For commercial buildings, does the owner of building pay or does the tenant pay for the tinting? Great videos!
That depends on the rental agreement.
What is the % of UVA blockage? (short and long wavelength)
Are you guys in Arizona?
Need the 5% where get it
Sheeeeeesh!
Is it me or does he sound like Jonah Hill
Why not open the door to actually see the difference, instead of a B-roll of other windows to show it..... seems fake

These are the kind of people that only read the cliffs notes and are surprised they don’t grasp the book.
DO NOT PUT TINT ON DOUBLE PANE WINDOWS, YOU WILL SEVERELY DIMINISH THE SEALS SERVICE LIFE!!
Do you have a link to a source?
How? You’re not removing or altering the seal. You’re just putting the tint on the glass. Right?

Cost of adding tint vs buying new windows. Think
