Gary Valenciano is a known in the Philipines as a fervent Christian singer and a friend of his wrote this song before he went to be with Jesus. Gary wrote the music and Morissette having Christian inclinations, if not also a Christian, sang this beautiful message. It seems that I'm drawn to Christians wherever I go, internet included. Yes, this song was first recorded by Gary Valenciano for the play "First Name" (written and directed by the late Freddie Santos, who also wrote this song) and released it in one of his albums around the early 90s. There is an official music video by the record label somewhere in TH-cam but Gary V posted this Live and Raw version last year: th-cam.com/video/HPO3ckzLERA/w-d-xo.html.
