Another top song, all about the negative impacts of organised religion. This is fantastic. I often wake up with this my head and can't get rid of it without playing another Nightwish. Kai Hahto - "the Human Metronome". Ha ha - was it a statement letting your hair down for this. That bass slide is great isn't it! Timeless lyrics from Tuomas - relevant today with the Ukraine situation - "from words, to war of the world, this one we forsake with scorn" in that superb voice of Marco's. And Marco plays 6 string really well, not just bass.
Perfect song to react to. A real masterpiece. Tonight is the start of Nightwish's May 2022 North America Tour in Toronto. I will be seeing this band at the Warfield Theater in San Francisco on May 18th.
Kai Hahto is "The Human Metronome", or in my book Kai "The Machine Gun" Hahto ( is a Finnish musician and drummer). Hahto was a member of the grindcore band "Rotten Sound" and "Wintersun" . Here is a taste of Wintersun : Wintersun - Sons Of Winter And Stars (TIME I Live Rehearsals At Sonic Pump Studios) REMASTER th-cam.com/video/Tl5T-glTdXw/w-d-xo.html. Troy is playing an Electric Bouzouki ( A musical instrument popular in Greece. It is a member of the long-necked lute family, with a round body with a flat top and a long neck with a fretted fingerboard.). Marko is Playing an Warwick Infinity / Panthera Double neck Bass and Guitar ( It is called THE BEAST). This song is against organized religions based on tribal religious texts, especially The Bible, it's not against personal faith in some Deity. However, one should realize that all those religious texts are & have been interpreted and used to justify unimaginable cruelties, persecution, discrimination etc., the worst being the idea that man is separate from nature & by some divine right above all other lifeforms, which explains the current almost catastrophic state of our planet. lyrics are spot on - so many fractures in our world have a root in the fantasy that each of the religions/sects/whatever are THE ONE way. This song speaks, with anger, against the fact that we humans are destroying ourselves and this world based on a power structure that needs to be made obsolete - we ALL deserve better. I LOVE this Song . Especially Floor's Freddie Mercury pose at the end . Speaking of Freddie ,....Floor's first band After Forever did a Cover of Queen's song "Who Wants To Live Forever " : Who Wants To Live Forever th-cam.com/video/yPLtgu2pPic/w-d-xo.html NWSU 🤘😎🤘.
@Timo Arula Absolutely right, absolutely. To quote Prof. Dawkins : "We are all atheists about most of the gods that societies have ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further."
I have seen them.. back in the Nightwish Army. Long Time Fan but always afraid of such big Crowds. But it was wonderful and THE greatest Show on Earth. Love Nightwish.
Another really good Nightwish track. Fantastic drum intro, interesting acoustic expression especially their guitars, good build up, well Floor is always good, interesting instrumentation ...
The videos for The Islander and the Greatest Show On Earth that you watched were both from the Tampere show. Another one to watch from here is the show opener 'Shudder Before the Beautiful' Troy is playing his Irish Bouzouki.
This is one of Nightwish's best songs, if not THE best. Absolute Tuomas multi-stylistic banger, features all the players, timely and timeless lyrics. The Once Upon A Time part brings chills every time.
As for the the drumming: Imho Kai is doing a phenomenal job during this concert especially in "The Greatest Show On Earth" which you reacted to. You should listen to that one again haha. And if you want to see him going crazy on the drums...."Sons of Winter and Stars" by his former band Wintersun. He'll blow your mind!😂🤘
The drummer Kai Hahto is in my opinion one of the elite metal drummers (check out some of the drumcam videos out there). Originally schooled as a jazz drummer, then having a year in USA taught by the best, he has a nice technique of floating his heels free when needed to e.g. operate the left hi-hat. And Wintersun has already been mentioned in the comments, they may be his creative outlet to go all in and just let it rip.
Acoustic guitar solos, you say..... WELL.. have I got you a treat. React to any Marcin Patrzalek video. He's a young Polish man that has performed on America got talent and MANY other places. Much Love to you and Ukraine 🌻🌻🌻💙💛💙
WHEN the time comes for the masterpiece 'The poet and the pendulum' I beg you 🙏 do some research before, read the letters and do the lyrics live version of Wembley. I promise you won't regret it and I guarantee you it's almost EVERY Nightwish fan desire. Greetings from Nightwish army Greece department 🇬🇷
I knew you were going to reference The Professor. Kai is a very technically talented drummer. Troy is playing the bouzouki! It is like a large mandolin. This song is dark because the message is a critique on organized religion's hypocritical teaching and the fear they preach to control the masses and empower themselves.
How about couple solo project reactions, if you are ready. Tuomas Holopainen - A Lifetime of Adventure (OFFICIAL VIDEO) Tuomas Holopainen - The Last Sled (OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO)
I don't cheat Neil Peart of any talent... but Kai Hahto is a master technician, and imo, one of the best of a generation! Wally, if you're a drum fan, check out Kais drum cams and clinics. Esp him playing Stargazers in the back of a drum shop (I'm guessing)...its fantastic!
If you like metal with acoustic guitar parts, you need to try In Flames. Look for the songs Alias, Where the Dead Ships Dwell, Ever Dying, Gyroscope, Zombie inc, A New Dawn. In Flames are melodic death metal, seriously heavy but with some amazing acoustic parts thrown in.
The words to this song are stunning, & proclaiming where the Witchcraft is, & it isn’t NW! Actually bothers me using this term about them... the truth tellers!
Or he is like me. I don’t pick up lyrics for the first number of listens and hear the voices more as an instrument along with the rest of the song. Yeah these lyrics are great but I didn’t realise for the first few listens.
@@NZWozza I understood that he react song "Weak Fantasy". Lyrics is part of song. You told me this part of song react style, I didn't know about it. Thank you.
Love this song and reaction! I am seeing Nightwish tonight in Toronto.....can't wait!
Have fun...!!!
Have fun ! I'll be at the May 7th show in Lowell Ma. Traveling in from the Midwest! ! 💜🎸🎹🥁🎤🎶
So jealous😝just kidding. Enjoy!
Give Floor a hug from me lol
Enjoy!!!
I am finally seeing Nightwish live on Saturday and I can't wait.
That’s amazing! I wish they’d play in Texas. Enjoy!!
9 days for me. I can’t remember looking forward to anything as much as this upcoming concert.
On the 20th or 21st for me!!!
Chicago for me! I can’t wait. I may cry when I see Floor come out lol.
Another top song, all about the negative impacts of organised religion.

Yes, check the Nightwish Drummer Kai Hahto in Wintersun
I fly out tomorrow morning to Boston where I’ll be seeing Nightwish Saturday night and then again next Sunday back home in Denver.
I have seen them.. back in the Nightwish Army. Long Time Fan but always afraid of such big Crowds. But it was wonderful and THE greatest Show on Earth. Love Nightwish.
5 days till i see them , i cant wait , i wish Marco was there though .
Great reaction again.
There is also a drum cam video of this song.
Criminally underrated song. Those lyrics 🔥❤️ Was working in stage crew in this magical show 🤘🤘💥🇫🇮
There is a universe..a planet..and Nightwish!! Thank you for reacting.

P.S. KAI HAHTO, RUMMUT (DRUMS)!
Kai said in an interview that the drum intro is partly improvised differently every show.
It's such a great song - and this 600% Nightwish.
Perfect

Grandgrandpa 71 here. Marco on the 6 String. Troy on the Buzuki. Greek instrument.
Duuuuuuddd... Kai's drumming takes you along, and definitely carries all the way long...
🥰💥💯
My favourite song from NW nowadays😊🤘🤘thanks for your great reaction!
One of my favourite songs and this performance was is so powerful and mesmerising. I knew you would enjoy it.
Kai is a new member of the band on this tour. Hence the drum solo. But he was already there as a substitute for Jukka.
You might wanna check out some of the Kai's drum cam videos. The guy is a freaking beast.
This is Kai introduction to the fans after taking over for Jukka.
I predicted you will listen to this song again - after recording - and headbang like crazy!!! 🤘😁
Another great reaction! Thanks for appreciating NW the way you do!
Best wishes from Namibia
Him at the drum solo: oh..... Nononononono
Me: hehehehe you ain't see nothin yet! 😈
What a great "love Letter "to the three book Religiouns. 🤘

👍🇫🇮😊 If Kai's drumming impressed you. Then I highly recommend at you watch Wintersun's live rehearsals at sonic pump studio
i think kai is one of the best today but i really loved ian pace (deep purple)and i have to say cozy powell(rainbow) aint bad either!!!!!

PLs more Jinjer! Perennial live in Wacken
Troy ---> bouzouki.
And note - the lower part of Marko's Beast in NOT acoustic !
No one shreds a bouzouki like Troy
The words to this song are stunning, & proclaiming where the Witchcraft is, & it isn’t NW! Actually bothers me using this term about them... the truth tellers!
THAT,S BETTER
beter nightwish reaction weak fantasy wembley
I see Nightwish in 18 days ps it's not dark metal 😂😂it's symphonic metal
No react about lyrics? Don't worry, you are not only one who do not have balls to do that. Greetings from Finland.
