For someone like me who is drawing "semi-realism" in some ways, there is so many facial features that just makes up a ton of variety its insane xD.
I like semi realism cause i suck at making my own anime character

I've been struggling to come up with a preferred method of drawing the nose. The nostril area is where I have the most trouble and all angles lol.
the more realist the nose the harder ,the more detailed the hard it is to do

Really hope you do the 'developing your own style video' soon. Working on my own manga right now and I'm having trouble with my style's consistency from panel to panel. Just looking for few more good tips. You've been a huge help thus far. Great video by the way.

I think from all your videos, this was the one you got to be the most instructive. I know it may not always be easy because you need to be very aware of your drawing process when most times we are very used to just draw things by heart. But I like it a lot and I think if you are interested in giving more interesting tutorial-like videos, you are in the right path with this one. But I'm one of your big fans so honestly I just like to watch you drawing nonetheless hehe. Regards.

For your next video for character development/style can you show how to draw in death notes style
I don't recommend stealing a style, but the best way to learn how to draw like Takeshi Obata is to try drawing 10 of his comic book pages. You will begin to understand how he does his lines. I am putting up a video on my BAKUMAN challenge which is to draw 100 of your favorite pages from Manga and comics. I drew 5 pages of BAKUMAN and it was very fun and I learned ALOT.
Of course not stealing the style but like whytmanga's manga is bleached influenced I want mine to be deathnote Influenced
the more deathnote you read the more his style will influence yours. Your brain is like a sponge, it soaks up its surroundings and when you squeeze it (for ideas, styles, even drawing manga instead of American comics) it will put back out a version of what it took in. WhytManga even went over it in a video, he used to read a lot of BLEACH so it was hard for his artwork not to reflect it. What you soak in, you squeeze out.

I really need help with the inking, I use a calligraphy dip pen with the interchangeable pen tips, and its hard to make the borders with a ruler without the ink smudging. what should I do??????? please helppp asapppppp
+NoCommentary Society (Samuel Mathew wright jr) Get a different pen if that one isnt working out for that task, like a micron or something..or just a normal pen..it is just the borders after all :)
+Cloud Burst I was using the gpen to make the borders and I bought some microns recently lol its all good now
I've had the same issue, what you need to do is order this ruler www.dickblick.com/products/alvin-non-skid-stainless-steel-ruler/
It has a no skid material on the bottom that lifts the ruler off the page slightly so that when you ink, the ruler and page don't touch! I hope this helps. I have a video on the supplies I use on my channel, check it out!
But I do recommend just using a micron for the borders, and when you want to do speed lines use that ruler.
Just wondering I know you have natural drawing abilities but have you went to any art classes to enhance your skills?

if you guys want to learn how to draw I suggest you don't copy it gets you no where you should learn how to draw everything of the body then create your own characters
+Nikki Lenau No, first you learn the face then you learn the whole body but not until you mastered drawing faces, that's how it should be done. Face is thee most important part since that's what makes the character basically have a appearance and basically make him a character, the body is just extra.
+Right Said Tobirama whats the use of drawing a face if you cant draw the rest of the body? How are you gonna draw in a manga style with just the face. You should learn the basic overview of the body, learn specific parts of the anatomy then slowly get more detailed with each part. The face should be the detailed part of the head. Body helps with proportion. there is no set order but you should at least know the boidy
Patrick Casella No its more reasonable to start with the face since the face requires more than the body, the face requires a lot of detail and has multiple things that are a part of it. The body is just straight forward and more so easier so it makes more sense to start with mastering the face, you can literally draw the body just by looking at your body, for the face you can't because you want to make a face different from yours.
I want to learn to draw but I dont know where to start any suggestions
+K “Khidd” King This may sound kinda 'trolly' but just start, only when u start can u see which areas to improve in. You could start with creating a character, or environment. And dont be afraid to use reference, just dont copy directly from it...if youre using reference try to learn from it each time u use it, this is mainly if you use stock images, try to learn the anatomy while you're drawing; or u could do some gesture drawings first to study anatomy.
And for creating clothing, characters and props/environments, expand and grow your visual library, a great way to do this is to make a pinterest account and make boards for each area:
1.Clothing
2.Character
3.Environment
4.Etc.
Or you could just observe reality, people walking down the road, buildings, animals etc.
This kinda opens your eyes and you'll realize that a lot of people are alive but aren't really 'alive'...they're stuck in their own personal world oblivious to the beautiful sights and sounds...it's kinda sad
