This is literally the best clothing tutorial I have ever seen. I really like how you used things other than clothing as examples of how different fabrics react to different stresses such as gravity and wind. Also I had never heard someone say the things you said about the how the thickness and fit of the clothing effects the folds
that school boy character that you drew (which i assume is the main character from your manga Apple Black?) looked like a long-haired version of Eren Jaeger from Attack on Titan. i seriously fell in love in an instant. plus *_Saitama_* omg i subscribed immediately!!! your tutorials are so awesome, im learning a lot so gotta watch more!
I respect your constant use of traditional media. Its important for new artists to realize that fancy digital equipment is not necessary to create great art. Thanks for sharing.
I find this certainly one of the best tutorials on clothing and wrinkles i've seen so far 'cause you're not just showing where wrinkles go but explain it very well and understandable. i would appreciate another tutorial on different clothings and maybe clothing stylez! keep going!
whyt, can you do a tutorial on male & female proportion in different views kinda like a turn around, front view(you already did front with previous videos), back view, side view, 3/4, back view 3/4 views
Also maybe consider doing that video in real time. I don't know about others, but I know that I like to draw along with things that are new to me, and would like to see a video in real time
I've noticed you're very confident when sketching out lines and they look nice and dark, but erase easily. Is this because you have a certain pressure on the paper or do you simply use dark lead? ^^
This was very helpful! At first I was very confused on how to draw clothes and I always wondered why when I drew baggy or fitted clothes that it always looked strange or not very realistic. I had never stopped to notice how different clothing materials behaved and worked with different poses so thank you for bringing this to my attention in this video! Also I love your art style!!!
i learned more on just watching this video than what i learn at school… AND LEMME TELL YOU SOMETHING , that stuff the teachers teach us, it doesn't go to my head•~•
Excellent video! I know you did a video on dynamic poses, and I would really enjoy another pose video. Hand gesture video is so helpful. This one as well. Thank you!
Hey man, thanks for the help. I wasn't really trying to make a manga-style drawing, but this really helped me a lot on drawing wrinkles. I've been practicing it for a few months, but I can never manage to make it look good. Once again, thanks for the tips. I'm definitely subscribing and checking out your series :D
I been desperately learning how to figure out folds and how they work. I kinda have an idea but I sometimes feel like it doesn't make sense. After watching this video I think I learned a little but still confused about it overall.
I think most people tend to look for fold tutorials so they can learn the general shapes. For example hook folds and so on. But most don't mention such stuff, neither did you altought you mentioned arrow folds or how ever they are called.
this is so HELPFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD i wanna Watch MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i might end up becoming the greatest artist just by watching this video XD
I feel what you mean when your drawing.... also... can you make a video on how to draw better hands, feet, arms and legs. I'm pretty horrible at doing those.....
So it may be a bit simple, but a short tutorial of how to draw dust particles such as the ones drawn around Saitama at 20:38 I don't know why (since it seems so simple) but I just cannot draw them, whenever I try it seems too cluttered, or organized... anyway, it would be a huge help if you could make a video on this (as it's used a LOT in many action/shonen series)
The effortless way he draws hands and legs....
It's actually so satisfying. :D
hahahaha facts
I was like "how the hell did he do that?!" HAHAHAHA
That's like years and years and years of practice lol
Took the words right out of my mouth

Great video! I never thought of it like that, the folds 'remembering' where they fold. Very helpful ^_^
I've noticed you're very confident when sketching out lines and they look nice and dark, but erase easily. Is this because you have a certain pressure on the paper or do you simply use dark lead? ^^
You seem to draw always perfectly
This was very helpful! At first I was very confused on how to draw clothes and I always wondered why when I drew baggy or fitted clothes that it always looked strange or not very realistic. I had never stopped to notice how different clothing materials behaved and worked with different poses so thank you for bringing this to my attention in this video! Also I love your art style!!!

i have problem "designing" cloth for a character, an armor or just dressing the character up... i can see it in my mind not express it on paper :C
Yeah, its weird how you can picture something accurately but cant put it on paper. Your dreams are even more accurate.
Dam the human mind!
Kole Hunt ikr :3
+Yeiraw Raw try looking at other animes and try copying their style, this is how I learned to come up with good designs
