I'm trying to put spiral ducting in my living room. Don't i need insulated spiral for indoors? Does it matter? Are diffusers still easy to install in spiral ducting?
How do you stay safe from breathing in all the smoke? I used a hacksaw to make 8 12x6 inch vent holes on the metal air duct and it was spitting sparks everywhere and metal too. The worst part of it was breathing in the smoke. How does one keep their respiratory system safe while cutting the holes.
If you ever did that on my job site id politely ask you to leave. You are compromising the structure of 'spiral ductwork' its held together with the ribs you just cut out lmfao please dont be this guy.
Maneaters, where's the center, blah blah blah Comments. 1. It's a saddle tap, there's a large flange so there is plenty of room for dimpling to be covered. 2. "Maneaters", aka "Spurs". Face it, only noobs or nooberees make them even with full closure of the snips. Unless you're cross eyed even a 60 day nooberee can avoid those. But yes, you'll still have a dimple in most cases. Refer to #1. 3. "You did not even use a level how do you know where the center line of the duct is?????". Won't even comment on that Comment since the answer is so obvious. 4. " use a grinder".. Sure if you want a crap load of debris traveling throughout the system. Or worse yet burn down a $15 million project like I've seen happen.
Can you get it for a 6 inch diameter pipe
Great video and very helpful. Definitely the worst audio I’ve ever heard. But still a good video

Video condition space no insulation. If the space that duct occupy be condition by the ac or heating system no insulation.
Lowes has some great power tools, your killing yourself, but thanks for the video :)
Actually, after looking at his website, he has access to way better power-tools at way better prices! hah
It's a plumber, 3 months down the road a sheet metal worker will have to come fix his hack job.
Facts.
5 Years now and it's still working flawlessly!
Where are your safety glasses?
No shit. No gloves no safety glasses. Obvious sign of a scab.
4 inch grinder with a 1mm blade works best and faster

You shouldn’t cut the cord’s on the spiral. Should’ve filet between. Plumbers for yea
That's a lot of work for one whole. Nowadays just use a Metal cutting saw from Diablo 4''' works great!
You did not even use a level how do you know where the center line of the duct is?????

Look at all those man eaters ouch!! A grinder would have been quicker and better for this application 100%
Never use grinder on this!!!

Use gloves
Hammer hack knife and snips always
Don't need to insulate in a conditioned space.
That’s the shittiest cut I’ve ever seen even though it’s covered
Unibit and turbo shears you'll thank me when you're 50
