Love watching you work(knit). I know I would find this difficult. I'll stick with scarves for now.

Woooh. You make me wanna knit. Between writing a book, working, and cleaning there’s no time.
I saw a knitted cap I liked this girl on Facebook was selling. I asked the cost. I thought (without verbalizing), “I could make that cap myself. I just need to know how to see a circle. The rest I know.

It would help a great deal if there was some audio, bigger needles n a slower pace.

I AGREE . . . some audio would be extremely helpful. I don't see any response to the many questions about the fact that there was NO audio & why.

The cast on is not what I am used to, but I figure ok, I can still do it my regular way and have it work out. Then she starts knitting and I am lost, because she doesn't knit normally either. Are you left-handed? And how are you adding stitches? It is not a normal increase. I think you need a bit more specific instruction there. Your purl is also different than I am used to, and at that point your needles pop off the screen sometimes. This is definitely not something a beginner should attempt, especially if you knit differently to begin with.

If something is different from that you get used to, it DOESN'T mean that it is not normal. For instance, there are many ways to cast on, and I showed the most used one. If you know how to knit at least in one way, then do as you were taught. I did not say to knit or increase my way. To work this hat, you need to know how to make a knit stitch and increase a stitch. In the video, I just showed how I did it without trying to persuade knitters that that is only one existing way. Even though your comment wasn't nice, but happy knitting, anyway.

InterUnet I was honestly trying to figure out how you were doing things, since it is different than I was taught, so I could figure out how to translate it through and be able to do this. I honestly can't tell how you are increasing, since the needles are so small, and you go so fast with no explanation. Since it is not something I am used to, it is hard for me to understand. The way I was taught to increase stitches often leaves holes in the finished product, so I was looking for another way to do it. I can't tell which piece you are picking up in order to make an increase. I was simply pointing out that without it being slowed down and having more specific instructions, the majority of people who are going to be able to use this video to knit would be people who do so in the same manner as you. I was honestly curious as to whether you are left-handed. I have heard that left-handed people knit differently. I was not trying to offend you in any way. When I said it wasn't normal, I was referencing my first sentence in which I clearly said it is not what I am used to. It isn't normal to me. Everyone's normal is bound to be different. Saying my comment isn't nice, well, over-sensitive much?

It looks like it would be helpful, but I cannot hear the description of what's being done and it doesn't show enough detail.

      Hi,
In the description below the video you can find the written instruction. To make this hat, I used a simple technique of adding one stitch on each double pointed needle until I reached the desired number of stitches accordingly to my head circumference. After that point you stop increasing stitches and just continue knitting in round till you reach the desired length of your hat. Happy New Year!

      Hi rami mou,
Please check out this hat pattern - interunet.com/knit-a-hat-for-a-woman. Instead of a cable needle, I used a safety pin. Hope you like the hat design. I'll put your suggestion on my to do list. Happy knitting!
