Almost same setup as you guys. XR18 plus Powered PA. Were running thru an RCF Evox J8 setup and love its portability, size and weight. Only nitpick is the tops volume is not independent from the Sub. So to get more volume from the tops, the sub also goes up. Not a biggie or dealbreaker but it would have been nice. Great choice on the Bose. Its amazing how much low end they are able to produce and the clarity is just killer.
One of the best reviews I’ve seen. Would like to see what they are like outside. I do wonder if they would lack when out in front of a large crowd in an open space.
I've been a dj since 1983 ... had all Speakers LOL ... The Bose F1 812 sounds like a winner ... Probably need 2 sets for a Basketball Gym 😂 Prom .. Daaaaymm sounds amazing as in when it comes to being picky as I am ... when it comes to quality .. I use Yamaha for the budget hehe ... since 1993 to the Present .. Being 60 years old .. I think I will go for the F1 812s and sell all the Yamahas and the base bottoms 18 inch and 15 inch .. Gees Heavy VS F1s lol.... Great Video ... Thanks
I consider this speakers for a 250 square metres dance school. Do you think this is a good choice to take 4 Tops and two subs? And is this the best sound you can get at this price point, or is there any alternative?
It's a bit over based on the decibles you are going to produce, but in all essence yes should be applicable. 250 square meters is huge, it's as big as my house 4x and including the 7 car parking lot :) @@JK41O1
Yes, they need to be equalized a bit because they sound horrible on the flat position, after the frequency of 2.2khz (2-3 db parametric eq) upwards culminating with 7..5khz (4-5db) and 11.5 khz and higher freq, 6-7 db or to your taste with high frequencies, you have to play a bit with the equalizer with them but the result will be incredible, these speakers do not have tweeters with compression, only paper speakers, the best sound is obtained from them, you will not hear this high-power HI-FI sound on any other speaker, without ear scratches on the frequencies high, very melodious and necessarily in position c, applied to this adjustment! I have 2 tops bose f1 812 and 2 subwoofers Turbosound milan M15B (bandpass subwoofer for those who know) 134 db peak 35 hz-150 hz much better than bose f1 subwoofers and 30% cheaper), they make a good team together, 120,150 people on the dance floor inside, 100 people outside in the open air comfortably!

Do you need to use speakers management processor or connect directly from the board for live band? Thanks. I wonder how does it sounds like after 75 feet. Thanks in advance
I really appreciate this video. We are a 5 piece rock band like you guys. We want to run two electric guitars using Axe FXIII and a bass guitar plus a mic'd up drum kit with three vocals. Do you think it would cope with all that? Great band by the way!
Really good video mate, was looking at these as a downsized rock band PA as my older system is big and heavy. Did you find they had enough volume overall? Did you have much headroom left or were you running the system almost at its capacity? That's the only reason I haven't jumped into a portable column system yet, concerned the volume won't be there if I need it in future. Cheers!
We haven't really cranked it up yet, but It's enough for small to medium-sized indoor and covered patio gigs. These definitely feel louder and closer to a typical PA than a Bose L1.
@@OfficialPerfectoDeCastro cool man, thanks very much! I'll try and get my hands on one to test before parting with my money! Unfortunately where I live here in Tasmania, Australia we don't have any retailers that provide a 'try before you buy' options and their return policies aren't as generous as Sweetwater's is................my current setup is great but lugging massive 18 inch subs and tops is a pain hence why I want to downsize but still have plenty of volume on tap
@@davidwicksmusic did you have any luck testing a system out? I’m toying with the idea for our 4-piece pub-rock band up here in Brissie, but only in the very initial stages of research atm.
@@matt69cp Hey mate, unfortunately I haven't tested a Bose system yet, I still plan to but am also considering a column/stick PA set up as well! I do a mix of trio cover band gigs, as well as acoustic solo gigs so really want to find a PA that suits both! If I get around to trying the Bose, I'll reply back here! Currently we use 2 X 18 JBL subs and Yamaha DBR12 tops and it's decent, but so much to lug for the venues we play!

Niiice! And in case you know anyone, we’re selling the previous Yamaha PA , super deal 😉
@@OfficialPerfectoDeCastro Are you still selling? If so, what is the system? I'm after a set of Yamaha dxr 10s and dxs subs...
I have a set if these and they are amazing! The really do great inside or outside for a large crowd.
That’s good to hear!
i love my f1 sistem they punch 🤜🏻 and sounds amazing i always use on j position they sound more crispy on my opinion , great video regards from texas!

Powered pa is the working bands way.
So it’s been a year since you have been gigging the Bose PA. Is it still
good??
Pinoys Rock!!!! Nice System for dj too!!!

I love em! Im using same setup with S1 pro sa monitors.
Would love to know specifics on the kick drum mix. Sounded Huge and Round. Please?

Great review! Thanks for answering all my questions. Also, your band is super legit! Rock on my brotha!
Man, Geraldo was there at the 2nd show. Sporting the flannel.
halos araw araw ko din kase ginagamit yung S1 ko kuys ....ang lakas nya pag may binabandahan yung tunog

All processing is done at the outboard mixer
Good review bro!
I think it's better than Beta 3 and JBL
amazing 😊 too bad you didn’t use zoom mics for audio rec would be way better
How much two sets?
Thanks for the video - were you using 1 set or 2 of the speakers? It looks like just 1 is set up on the left side.
♏🦂🕵 its like $1,119 for each bose f1 & $1,200 for the bose f1 subwoofer. So like $2,400 for both
Like, yeah like, like right?
Please am in Ghana 🇬🇭 and I want to buy two(2) s1 pro, with t8s mixer, how much will it cost me for the price and shipping price…???
which app you used to remote?
X Air app
Go from board to 812 then to F1.... big difference in sub output
@jimteolis5974 according to manual, connecting from the mix board to f1 subwoofer, then from sub to f1 812 top.
Looks like a good small venue set up, too bad it's out of the price range for most bands.
Yes it is pricey but worth it especially if you think about the sound to portability factor

It should work out nicely for most club gigs. If you play upper medium-sized venues you might need bigger subwoofers
Bose! I misread Boss 😭🤣🤦

Man, it sounds great Perfecto! Really!
new goal hehe
Hi Perf, did you get them for free or with a good discount?
Got them in trade for work
This was nice! I’m considering these literally as we speak, would you recommend them for a church of about 150 people?
Thanks for watching! Yes it should work for 150 people

Singer uses monitors. I prefer in ears

Ok for rock but not good for dance music subs are ok for mid bass and some lower frequencies hi end is ok but I prefer my Presonus ULT 10’s.
