I am an old Murray fan. Watched every Ja game at Murray. Even when he was clearly the best player on the floor he was a pass first player. Wants to involve his teammates

Thanks for explaining the ramping up the minutes process. I didn’t really think about that. Makes sense with such a long stretch of away games right when the season starts. I wanted to see Ja play more in the last couple games but now I understand and I’ll be patient :) the season is long

I've said this a few times once Ja begins to average 10+ in assists we'll be almost unbeatable.

I came away impressed with Wells passing. Also he tries on D. A ways to go but it seems they've hit on another 2nd rounder.

Ja never had to score he always wanted to score. Only the year he really had to score was the 3rd year when Jaren came off injury. Even than he really didn’t need to score. That’s why Charles Barkley pointed it out and they got mad because he knows all assist ain’t the same. That’s why all off season I said Ja shouldn’t no longer be the first scoring option but a fill in scorer when things slow down. A fourth quarter scorer because he fresh. This should help him get hit less and last longer in the season.

Ja can lead the league in assist if he wanted to. If he does, that means the Grizzlies will probably be in the western conference finals at minimum.

Think the grizzlies a slightly better than the Rockets.

If ja average 23 and 10 that’s straight. He can always average more in the playoffs. Its the long game

I hear it but 23 isn’t enough in my opinion if he wants to be up there with top guys in the league he’s my favourite player as well so not hating

@@reecemunro5377 i just want him to play as many games and be available for the playoffs man. They was ready to crown haliburtin last year averaging 20-10. Fuck all the media hype. He’ll get it when he balls out in the playoffs he always steps his scoring up then. Plus its sooo many options on this team we dont wanna wear him down

@@jalennelson8237yeh that is valid but if he started playing more than 30 mins points will come for him regardless

I don’t even believe that playing less correlates to less injury. Look around the league. Edwards averages 40 minutes a game, he has missed a handful of games over his career, probably less than 15 in his whole career. Luka is the same way.
Tyrese maxey is another guy who will play 40 minutes no problem.
I genuinely don’t believe there is a correlation between more minutes to more injury, other than just more opportunities because of time, to get an injury. I think the guys who play 40 minutes are conditioned better so they get injured less.
The most cautious minute coach in the league is Jenkins and yet, look at how often we are injured. We break injury records.
The load management and aggressive minute management is bullshit.

Old school guys said they had two a day practice too. I do wonder if flying around chasing 3 point defense may be different, and there’s not nearly the isolation of old times which I love but I strongly disagree defensively it used to be better , the task of flying all over has to be harder.

@@hillbilly21960 that is a good point, I actually didn’t consider how much the court has opened up with, not just traditional 3s, the 10’ behind the 3 line 3s.
I actually think guys would be better at defense now, they are definitely better offensively, but the NBA is punishing defense. Look at the opener, 60 fouls?!?! That is insane! No game should have 60 fouls.
A lot of those fouls were extremely ticky tack.
