- Russia launched an overnight aerial attack on Ukraine, which reportedly set buildings on fire in Kharkiv. Ukraine said that Russia fired two S-300/S-400 missiles at the Kharkiv region and attacked Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson with drones. Meanwhile, at the frontline Russian forces improved their positions and released footage of the destruction of the Ukrainian command post with FPV drones. Watch for more details.

S-300 is an air defense system, not a ground strike system. They were most likely striking with Iskander, and what is on the ground are the wreckage of Ukrainian s-300 trying to defend the airspace
Good analysis. However with modern technology they can be converted I was told. So the reason is that they're almost impossible to intercept so they can be shot at close distance to destroy smaller targets and not buildings.

The two s series missiles were most likely Ukrainian air defence missiles that missed their mark.
Say what you like about the Russians but they aren’t dumb enough to use air defence missiles for ground attack. Especially not in light of the rest of their missile arsenal.
Probably these damages are caused by Ukraine's air defences.

As far As I am aware, Russia does not use S-300 systems for targetting ground systems nor air targets over controlled by Ukraine territory. . It is Ukrainian invention - reprogramming these ground-air rockets.

Russia may have fired 30 missiles , however Ukraine could have intercepted 29 of them. But 1 missile got through and destroyed 3 buildings in Kharkiv.

The S-300 is a defensive missile, and one which is simply never really used in an offensive capacity! It therefore seems infinitely more likely that the particular S-300 missile which damaged all of those buildings was one fired by Ukraine in order to try to intercept incoming offensive Russian missiles & drones....but missed completely >> thus coming back down onto the said buildings!

It's the other way around, Ukraine fired s300 and s400 to intercept Russian missiles but missed and instead destroyed their buildings, it's laughable when saying Russia fired air defense missiles when they have lots of cruise and ballistic missiles 😂
It's likely not even S300 (especially not S400 as Ukraine doesn't have those), but old S200 which Ukraine had plenty of. They even tried to modify them to attack Rostov-on-Don a couple of times.
Belgorod alone can take on Kharkiv which is more than twice its size. 😅

Zelensky didn't try to prevent the conflict through diplomacy because he lacks honor and integrity.
In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas.
If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy.
Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements.
Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time.
Russia's national security was compromised once nato began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining nato was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns.

Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave.

The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims).
The second terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed two parents and severely injured their young daughter.
