DPP's worldview coincides with the KMT's. It overlooks what is really happening on their island where young and old people are suffering every day. Ironically, if there is no China, there is no DPP. SHAME on YOU, Lai and your friends.
Taiwan has never been an independent country but was part of the old Republic of China, which lost the Chinese Civil War to the Communists. Initially, the United Nations did not recognize the newly established People's Republic of China. However, that changed in 1971 when the UN decided to expel the defeated Republic of China and recognize the People's Republic of China instead. That marked the end of Taiwan's hopes for international recognition as the Republic of China. Today, the last stronghold of the old Republic of China, the island of Taiwan, is commonly referred to as Taiwan, an island and a province of the People's Republic of China.
It doesn't matter how many times the Chinese regime repeats the *lies,*
or how *angry* it pretends to be,
- Taiwan 🇹🇼 is still an independent country
Not even US recognizes Taiwan 😂😂
@rodrigoshiozawa The US does what is expedient, not what is right. And nonetheless effectively guarantees Taiwan's independence.

Long live Taiwan, a remarkably resilient and progressive nation.
@ToiChutGongWu Not sure that is the win for the PRC you think it is.
Look a little bit into the Kuomintangs history
Taiwan has shown resilience in the face of threats, and remains a great democracy in the East. 🇹🇼
So true.
🇹🇼💪
Congratulations President Lai Ching-Te of Taiwan! 🎉 Long Live Taiwanese Independence! 台獨萬歲。
Congrats to democracy...long live
Republic of China, the country makes me proud as a Chinese, me as someone brought up under the ccp
