1. You don't always need to disconnect the spring when you fold the pedal. That feature is just to protect the spring when the pedal is folded.
2. The folding mechanism isn't SUPPOSED to help your playing at all, it's designed for comfortable transportation.
3. This pedal is very far from being an Axis copy. Axis' are direct drive while this is a strap drive. Big difference. And the Axis drive cams aren't even comparable to this.
Won't comment on the price but in Iceland it is quite reasonable.
This is not a review, it's a feature summary.
Just purchased my perfect balance yesterday, it allows for a seamless transition between your musical ideas and physical application of those ideas, my only qualm is that its not as loud as some of its contemporaries like the DW 9000 and Speed Cobra (though thats not to say its quiet, its just that most modern pedals have a bit more throw at the expense of balance) so far as those of you who are concerned with the belt drive, you CAN retrofit it with a chain if you wish, happy hunting!
I tried it... it feels really really nice.
I ordered one. Can't wait.
That's what I was thinking, and i love the Speed Cobras. If you have the coin..I guess it's worth the jump to say "been there, done that" but it's pricey for sure! I'm still grabbing one here in a few weeks, so open mind I have. My favorite pedal to date is the Speed Cobra.......well see if that changes here.
fooled around with one. its AMAZING!
How do these pedals get past Sonor inspection? I received a pedal today that the hinge is very stiff and the board locks up high and does not come back down unless I push it down to playing position. I thought this issue was resolved after the 1st generation problems with this pedal? Sonor needs to get off its laurels and fix this issue. This should have not even left the factory.
You can put a double chain on but that would be pointless. It feels amazing and its a fricken kevlar strap so its not gonna break...
Well sure was a good watch. I enjoyed it!
I´ve owned the Bigfoot, and for me this is close to the opposite feeling pedal on the marked. I strongly prefer the Sonor´s much lighter feel.
ingenius design IMHO
will this work / fit with an 18" bass drum ??
Really? You like it that much better? Explain please. I'm torn between this and a Trick.
It's a decent pedal don't get me wrong here it looks cool and feels great but you sounded so proud or talk so highly of this pedal like nothing can compare lol I have gone through a bunch of these and it was poorly designed (great concept don't get me wrong) but essentially this pedal is straight up 'Not Durable. It's somewhat expensive and personally I don't enjoy replacing it monthly. Gonna try the demon drives next lol I would recommend from previous experience the Axis A21 laser's and the D
@DeathDrummer75 I don't like direct drive, neither does Jojo. Doesn't have great balance and the pedals feel stiff.
I bought one of these a while back and I cannot get it to fit the hoop properly. No matter what I do, when attached the heel of the pedal sticks up off the ground which causes the bass drum to rock back and forward and the toms move even further, annoying ! The kit is an vintage rogers kit, thinner hoops, but I have built it up with tape / rubber with no change. Any suggestions ?
For reference, how big is the bass drum you h ave it clamped to?
does the pedal have a good bearing hinge?
You can tell the spring action isn't really balanced. I played one and it's a little flimsy. Maybe it takes time to get used to.
The only reason I would buy it is because of the damn allen screws! My pearl eliminator uses some really rare and flimsy allen screws it is annoying I cant break it apart without stripping the screws and having to replace them somehow.

I'm torn between this and a Trick Bigfoot.
i use demons and they are AMAZING lol definatly worth it and you can set it perfectly for "perfect balance" :P
Trick??? Ick! grab the JoJo!
This guy looks like Jungle Drummers Dad
Any mid experienced drummer knows that. At least you can check your grammar before trying to sound smart. Realize my native language is spanish.
Just seems like an over-priced, fancy, glorified Speed Cobra if you ask me.
He pronounciates Mayer right! I'm stunned :D
