I liked A. Smith’s personnel ideology, but his scheme, adjustments, and personnel usage were head scratching. Picking Bijan over Carter seemed like a move to his position less offense a nightmare to defend, but then trotted out vanilla and predictable play calls and design. I was so excited to see if he would bring a new evolution of the 2 back set. But he rarely deployed it, despite the high success of plays when he did. To me it seems when teams sold out on the run it took away the boot roll out, that must’ve been pivotal to his scheme
