I was at work today and my coworker was looking at my carton of almond milk and he said "I heard this stuff was really bad for you" and I said "oh yeah what specifically did you hear?" and he immediately got defensive and back-tracked. "you can drink your almond milk, I'm just saying, I'm not judging, etc" but when I said I was just against the spread of misinformation he left the room and didn't speak to me the rest of the night. As vegans we should stop playing into the false rhetoric that faux meats or even vegan “junk” food are a huge problem, or something to be completely avoided, this just helps the anti vegan conspiracy theorists and carnivore diet quacks. We must fight against the spirit of unconscious cruelty with which we treat the animals. Animals suffer as much as we do. True humanity does not allow us to impose such sufferings on them. It is our duty to make the whole world recognize it. Until we extend our circle of compassion to all living things, humanity will not find peace.

Those Vegans rhyme with Pagans all knew this very well as people will start connecting the dots and even the aliens 👽 helps humans by mutating the farm animals to help remind us humans that it best the Archons get their loosh from animals killing rather than humans dying. Bill Gates wanted depopulation and, therefore, what do you think the loosh will come from as bad enough the Archons take women loosh from giving child birth hard labor...😮

Ed you need to drop ranting on about "conspiracy theorists" - I am one of those - that's the label you would attach to me as I actually question everything even the "experts"! But no, I won't start eating animals again just because Klaus Schwab would like us to be eating mealworm burgers (available in Lidl) - I don't believe in the exploitation and killing of animals. I do believe we have to support farmers to grow real food, in soil, where we actually relearn to care for this world and all the creatures in it. If you don't think there are agendas at work to control all aspects of our lives, you are very naive.

It would be interesting to see further exploration of the fear people have when it comes to change toward a vegan diet. What exactly are their reasons so we know how to address them. It’s really sad that people would rather continue to be comfortable and believe the lies they were sold by animal ag, food corps and government than to learn the science and prevent future chronic disease and illness.

If the elite wants the freed up land to build more technology on it, it is the people's idiocy to contribute and let them build it, not we vegan's fault to eliminate the cruelty. Animal products will get ever more expensive anyway because they are not sustainable, the land is limited and all occupied, so people will be forced to give up animal products one way or another. That's why it is important to be vegan AND anti-tech.

You can say what you want about medical medium but I personally know several people who have healed themselves from different diseases by following his advice including myself. Most people are like you...they get a lot of recognition and praise for their work then they start speaking on other areas as if they're experts on it. Jordan Peterson did the same talking nonsense about veganism when he should just stick to his area of expertise. You know veganism and present it in a strong convincing way but that doesn't mean you're correct or very logical in other areas. Being an atheist for example and believing in the fairy tale that countless complex life forms evolve from single celled organism and that simply put everything ultimately comes from nothing.

Though I do this for ethics, I've tracked and documented all my daily intake on Cronometer for a whole year, and eat like a scientist would (1.6/kg protein, DHA, 1.8x the non-heme iron paired with vitamin C ...). But they watch a few TH-cam videos by carnivore influences, and decide that a high fat and meat diet is basically 'holistic medicine'. I don't know how you do it Ed. After this experience vowed I would never eat this sort of food ever again, thus started my journey into vegetarianism and now as a vegan.
We have lost sight of the simple principle of common sense which when all the facts are weighed up the choice that is made must be that which benefits the greater good and by that I mean not just the human greater good but the totality of all life on this planet and the natural systems on which life is dependant.

I agree with you. I'd been ignored by doctors with Lupus until it turned into a severe chronic fatigue/Fibromyalgia flare that lasted a week. Couldn't handle lights, thinking, heat..horrific fireworks of pain throughout my body for days. Couldn't lift my limbs. I finally downloaded his revised book from libby, started celery juice, ordered supplements, avoided the trigger foods, and was functioning within a week and a half. Although it took a few months on protcols to get back to somewhat of a normal diet & lifestyle. I'm forever grateful for that information and people are complete fools for ignoring him.
I found an NIH article about epstein barr vaccine clinical trails from May 6, 2022. Article states, " Approximately 1% of all EBV-infected individuals develop serious complications, including hepatitis, neurologic problems, or severe blood abnormalities. EBV also is associated with several malignancies, including stomach and nasopharyngeal cancers and Hodgkin and Burkitt lymphomas, as well as autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus and multiple sclerosis."

I do however agree that Medical Medium is a con man (or just delusional). But I also think most people will heal most things following his diet, so I view it as quite harmless. His advice is not exactly unique. It’s just the explanations as to why it works that is sometimes bogus.

    • @glendaanderson4969
      @glendaanderson4969 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

@henrikpetersson3463 His reasons are actually important. The sad thing is you can find pubmed or NIH studies on all of it but your doctor won't read them or listen to you in regards. People ask why we don't know this stuff is viral... because you can give someone MS, Alzheimer's, or any of the panoply of symptoms of diseases by just sharing a drink. The way they proliferate is different so not everyone will get sick or have symptoms. People need to understand that immune issues are viral to treat properly. I would consider my Rheumatologist who ignored me & told me to go home and take advil 4× per day, as bogus. Plus when people have flares they need to understand what's causing them so they can get better instead of just letting it get worse.

And he doesn't understand that many big cooperations he is afraid of actually are spreading them, like the meat industry for example.
And somehow many gernans need to make anything political for some reason and see something as leftwing or woke or rightwing nazi etc..., without the person ever talking about politics.
Its super annoying in the German internet. Even the most mundane and simple things are labeld with a political label.

Stay in centre (truly sceptical), you are going too far to the other side, the true middle path is always the best. This is a classical fallacy; over correction. One is a leftist communist as a youth, and than as an old man - one becomes far right poltically in one`s views; Aristotle pointed this out 2400 years ago, stay balanced. Sadly, science (though still preferable to opinions, to be sure) is also full of conspiracies, illogic and cognitive biases, well documented, to be sure.

I can appreciate the work Ed is trying to do but he seems like a rigid believer in scientism and I don't care for any gatekeeping of anything "fringe" because scientism says no no. Believe me I've been through the ringer of "whole foods vegan" cooked garbage for many years trying to find answers to my problems, none of it worked until I found John Rose and found the real solution to health.

So glad you're on the rational side, Ed. I'm sure a lot of people go vegan purely from an emotional stand point, but I suspect a lot of them also fall into the new-agey pseudoscience camp, which is a detriment to the movement, IMO.
It's important to convey that vegans can come to their position from an entirely rational basis, which you do wonderfully. Emotions are important, of course, but they are not sufficient.

I don't know where this special need of distantiating veganism from every single angle that doubts what's established comes from considered that if you're vegan you also understand the dysfunction and bias that come from violent and or privileged experimentation which is also the base of most of the currently recognised body related science.
I also find it a bit sad to see people recognising how problematic the meat market is and how the current economy contributed to such an enormous issue and yet distancing themselves from any theory and from every single aspect of any of those, that would question the same mechanisms under a different field or even just under a different branch of the same field.
Of all the videos that I've seen from Ed Winters this one seems to be the least reasonable and reasoned of them all.
I understand the urge of distancing veganism from any further discrimination but decontextualising a whole bunch of random big batches of ideas just to make a big salad of even more easily scapegoated ideas without even having the decency to at least avoiding to dissmiss each and every discipline that isn't currently established in the scientific community (including "spirituality" that just like "science" can mean no matter what if decontextualised) just looks way dumb when compared with its usually well detailed and reasoned league.
If this video had a racial metaphore it would look as an indian man pointing his finger at a black man to legitimise himself in the eyes of some idiotic coloniser by scapegoating another instead of exposing the coloniser's bias in alliance with another victim of injustice... Utterly sad and nowhere near to functional to its own cause.

This really has nothing to do with the video here and you likely hear this a lot, but your channel and videos are what convinced me to go from vegetarian to full on vegan. Since my current lifestyle has been aiming towards the reduction of harm towards all living beings, vegan fits right in with it and the transition was actually incredibly easy.
