This is one of the bands I used to work for while they were on tour in 1997. The Neville Brothers opened for them nearly every show. Had so much fun with the Neville family and the SpreadHead fans. The hardest physical work I've ever done in my life was their show in Santa Fe New Mexico at an Amphitheater on an Indian Reservation, Paolo Soleri. There wasn't a great way for trucks to access or get close to the stage, so I ended up carrying (or dragging 😜) items up and down the stairs (where concert goers would sit). My feet hurt so bad after that show that I couldn't even stand up in the shower at the hotel. I definitely didn't get paid enough to work that show, but the experience was unforgettable. I believe the Amphitheater was permanently closed a while ago, which is a bummer. As impractical as it was to have a concert there, it was such a uniquely beautiful place.
so many WSP great songs, its one of those bands you never heard and then once you do you feel like you found a gem. Rebirtha, Greta, Space Wrangler, Tall Boy, Porch Song, Coconut,,,it just goes on and on
Holy Shit I've been asking you guys to listen to WSP literally for years. I've requested Blue Indian by Widespread Panic on half a dozen music review channels probably for a total of 300 to 400 times . Not one has ever even acknowledged the requests but one channel after a $20 drop. At least they said the names of the song and the band. You two are the ONLY people I have ever seen do ANY WSP song. I only wish you had chosen one with some pizzazz. If you will _please_ check out Blue Indian Or any song at all from the album _Til The Medicine Takes_ , I'll do my level best to get you more new subscribers. But just playing WSP will get you many all by itself. They have an _extremely_ loyal fanbase. Thank y'all for this. Love to you both.
One of my TOP 5 Bands Congrats on discovering them !!!! BJ if you liked that guitar you're going to love this band. Check out All Time Low, Driving Song, Little Lilly, Climb to Safety.... And you need to watch the live versions!!! SOOO many great songs!
Widespread Panic is a GREAT live band. They need to be experienced on stage and in your face. WSP have been around for about 25 years and are still going strong, or even stronger. Guitarist Jimmy Herring joined up a few years ago, and has added a lot to the band, helping their sound and presentation. Seen them live myself a few times, and I always look forward to seeing them more, a good sign for a band. Lots of OOMPH!!
Time flies when you have fun And I forgive you for all the comments that were not quite right and I love at least the shared positivity. All the way from Athens Georgia is widespread panic 😊
Very exciting to see an Athens band other than REM and B-52s getting some love. Great fun. Saw these guys a hundred times in the 80’s and 90’s. RIP to Todd and Mikey
Try and get up. But the low is making him stay strong in the party favors and alcohol and still sober / not feeling like he is high enough and is trying hard . Heartbroken. Musician and break up. So blue and spinning Hallucinating and strung out but not high enough to feel good yet.
My favorite band of the last 25yrs. Their live music is sooo good. Ya won’t hear them on the radio. They never won any awards. Most likely because they never sold out and stayed true to the fans. I’ve seen them live 46x and it never gets dull.
My little brother introduced me to Widespread Panic a few years ago. A sound I definitely hadn’t heard before, and not they are a go-to when I need something easy. Great video!
THE BOYS!!!! Live is so much better, but they could play Mary had a little lamb and I’d still shake my tail feathers. You can find a great sitting on the dock of the bay on my page.
Cheers and thank y’all so much this is actually a Bloodkin song which is another band from Athens that were really really in the same panic circle just FYI I enjoyed it with you. This band was one of the best bands in the land. Hometeam. Y’all wanna do some more I can send you or some suggestions of all the different varieties of panics sound that will take you away. Cheers.
New album coming soon: Little by Little, We Walk Each Other Home, Halloween Face, Tackle Box Hero…still great stuff being done by The Boys! Old favorites: Blue Indian, Papa’s Home, Chilly Water ( you will get wet at a live show!), Surprise Valley, Good People, Up All Night…very deep catalog of greatness!
While we’re all expressing our love and showing off I’ve seen them over 150 times coast to coast since 98. I grew up with Greta’s nephew grew up with the Vereen’s and I am an Athens, Georgia local. WSMFP
Hey my friends. B.J. I know you love Asia... so imagine that feeling you get? She's your 'high'. On love, brother... on love. Now... imagine she's gone. Now you get the song. ;-)
I’ve always thought he means it more literally. He’s depressed because his girl is gone and just can’t get high Also speaking of an all time low… that’s another great song of theirs! All time low
They are having a live stream tonight covering 70s and 80s rock at 8 pm. 😘 Also, the majority of their reactions released the last few days are 70s and 80s.

1997 ....Athens band Allgood?
@@RobGenins Not familiar with them. Didn't work shows on the east coast, but rather all shows west of Illinois (north and south).
AWESOME STORY @scapito6536 The shows you mentioned are legendary in the community!!!
Not to mention that that show in that little small amphitheater was sick
Glad to see Widespread getting some reaction love!

@@Maxx912 they used to get air play on the radio and MTv back in the day... Hope in a Hopeless World was a charted hit the year I toured with them.

WSP is the absolute coolest! Please do some more, they got about 200 to pick from🍻
If you ever get a chance to see widespread live go! You'll have the time of your life.

Home town band. Athens GA... please check out The Glands.
Allgood from Athens/Wayx.
When you're depressed, you are in a serotonin and dopamine deficieny. So the drugs don't work.
Cheers and thank y’all so much this is actually a Bloodkin song which is another band from Athens that were really really in the same panic circle just FYI I enjoyed it with you. This band was one of the best bands in the land. Hometeam.

Definitely my type of music
I think you're ready try Phish. I suggest starting with a You Enjoy Myself or Run Like an Antelope from the 1992-95 era.
