Millers Falls House Fire

  • A home security camera had a clear view of the front of this burning home, revealing how quickly a house fire spreads. The fire started in a room on the first floor at the front corner of the house. Flames can be seen in the window. In less than three minutes, the video shows the fire spread to another room and outside the home, catching the moment flashover occurs. At that point you can hear the windows break and the crackling sound of the growing fire on the camera’s audio.
HFSC's video footage of an actual living room fire, with and without an installed home fire sprinkler follows the security footage. This is a real life example of how fast and dangerous home fires actually are, and why fire sprinklers are required in today’s codes. This video is proof of why every new construction home should be protected with fire sprinklers.

Bravo for those, including the UPS driver, who helped to evacuate.

Not only did a person die in that fire but two kitty cats as well. As much as I love cats, this is just heartbreaking.😢

Yes that is what I thought. How can people be so indifferent. There clearly are no fire fighters around.

It's rough watching all the vehicles that passed by without stopping to bang on the home's door. And then the fire dept response time.....maybe it's different out where I live, but that was the LONGEST response time I've ever seen for an engine to get there😬

Some people aren’t fit for that kind of pressure, or don’t want to be injured. Some don’t know what to do. The fire department knows best

All those cars that drove by and not one of them stopped even to just bang on the door. They would be first ones criticizing others if that was their home. Come on people. You could have least called 911, there was a car sitting in driveway so very good chance some one was in there which we found out there was. They made sure they slowed down to rubberneck though

This video was edited heavily. Lots of people came over and knocked on the door. Some even tried to go in but caused a flashover via draft which probably honestly made things worse enough to kill the 66 year old 😢
