When i adopted Lola, a kitten, about 7 months ago, my cat Janie, who was here 5 years at that time, was so mad! Lola refused to stay in my bedroom the way i had planned. She wouldn’t stop screaming for 2 days so i opened the door. The 2 of them did not even look at each other for 2 months! But by month 3, they interacted and then became best buddies. Now, they nap together and play together and they lick and groom each other. It melts my heart.
Those initial two months must have felt so long, with them ignoring each other. But how wonderful that by the third month, they started to interact and eventually became inseparable. It's truly heartwarming to hear how they've grown to nap, play, and even groom each other. Seeing pets form such close bonds after a rocky start is always something special. It just goes to show, patience and time can work wonders. 🐾💕
I have a cat named Lola!!! She will be 18 on April 17th. I've had her since birth . She never liked other cats. I had 4-8 fosters at any given time. Lola was resident cat then we got Skitty and she just adored him. We adopted him because he was the only one she ever liked. Lol as are just hard to get close to lol
@@Feline_Fanatics you are so right. Lola lived on a shelf in my closer for a couple of weeks. I have pictures. But then she came into the living room one night. My resident cat of 5 years, Janie, just got mad and stayed on the other side of the room. No interaction at all. No fighting, but no interaction. Now, they cant live without each other. Its so sweet.
@@peggysnyder-rs5jk hugs to your Lola❤️🐈❤️
Yes that's true about citrus ...I burnt a candle that had a lemon scent ....and I noticed my cat went in the other room ......to sleep immediately
Wont do that again !
I knew most of the things that are talked about in this video are highly true, but I don't see my cats as an animal..I see them as a part of my personality and every action I make and take definitely play key role in things. My cats ARE MY children and I learn from them and they learn from me My oldest cat is still hateful of the others, but she's kinda softening up; remember that cats have feelings and emotions like us humans.
It's really beautiful how you view your cats not just as pets but as integral parts of your personality and life. Seeing them as your children and recognizing the mutual learning and growth between you all is truly special. It shows a deep understanding and respect for the complex beings they are, complete with their own emotions and feelings, very much like ours. Your insight into the emotional world of cats is a reminder of the profound bond we can share with our feline friends. 🐾💕
My cat loves tummy rubs!
That's adorable! Not all cats are fans of tummy rubs, so you've got yourself a special one there. It's such a sign of trust when a cat exposes their belly and enjoys the affection.🐾💖
One of my cat loves belly rubs lol
Thank you for the tip about not scruffing an adult cat. I didn’t know that and was going to do it to get Janie into the carrier for the vet. But i won’t do it!
True
They should come out with pet wash. They prob have it but its a good idea.
Cats are so adorable my cat can be so grumpy so I just leave her alone but most of the time she likes being next to me love her I know she loves me ❤️😻❤️😾❤️😻😾❤️😻❤️😾
It's great that you respect her space when she needs it, and even better when she chooses to be close to you. Those moments of closeness really do speak volumes about the love between you two. Cats have their unique ways of showing love, and it seems like she's got her special way of letting you know she cares. ❤️😻🐾
They also don't like it when you fart all over the place 😂
I have a bully son that keeps attacking his mom....they are 3. The other four cats from same litter are okay with each other.
It sounds like you've got quite the dynamic in your cat family! Since the son is targeting his mom, it might be his way of challenging for a higher status within their little society. To help ease the tension, ensure each cat has their own space, including separate feeding areas and plenty of litter boxes. Providing vertical spaces for them to climb and retreat to can also help. It's great that the other siblings are getting along, and with some management, hopefully, peace can be restored for all. 🐾💕
My cat hates when Im eating and he wants to sit on my lap. He'll sit across from me, upright and look at me like I disrespected him...how dare I eat when he needs to rest on me?
That's hilarious! Cats really do have their own set of rules, don't they? It sounds like your cat takes his lap time very seriously, and mealtime is no exception for him. That indignant look they give, as if you’ve just committed the ultimate betrayal by eating when they want cuddles, is something only a cat can pull off with such dramatic flair. You've got to love their little personalities and the amusing ways they communicate their displeasure. 😹🍽️🐾
Who's ever picked up a cat by the scruff of the neck????
Why will he lick a lemon icy? ❤❤
Maybe bc it's artificial favor and sugar not truely citrus
Don't put a lead on your cat. It's not a dog.
I take hm on a leash because he wants to go outside but he gets hurt when I let him out in the past 3 times x 600 dollar vet bills. 1800 he stays in or regime 3.5 years old
