The distillery in Bushmills was Ireland first licensed distillery and now is a haven for tourists from all around the world that come to the North coast of Ireland. Nothing beats a wee Black Bush on a winter evening. I went on the tour a couple of years ago. Well worth a visit. Very reasonable price too.

Coming from NI, I'd had several different whiskeys and whiskys (the afficionados will know the difference in the spelling), but always settled on Black Bush, finding it was much smoother on the palate. That was way back in the1960's, and I've never touched another brand since. "The Water of Life" it's been called, and I'm not doing too badly in my mid-70's!
