Great job, and a pleasure to watch. It's nice to see you have 'ownership' of the finished result and all your guys appear committed to the same end. In the UK you'd be sure to get a heavy downpour of rain right in the middle of the finishing straight. Thanks for sharing.

Seismic code plus building over fill equals a lot of steel in the hole. Southern California in unique in that it not only has earthquakes many subdivision sites are actually built on cut down hills and filled in gullys. No building to usual and customary area practices on that stuff. It all has to be engineered with stamped plans.
Hope to see you guys prospering in the new year. Merry Christmas

Over here in New Zealand we had to continue the vapour barrier into the footings and up the side of the boxing. Made for an interesting puzzle. One job years ago the local authority insisted the barrier be wrapped around a tapered ripping attached to the boxing so it remained in the finished slab. Yep, got to do that one, rip them all down and attach etc, boss still complained it took to long.

  • @peterjonas1545

That's a really long hose and also very slender. Doesn't seem very heavy. We always used 4" or 6" and had a couple guys with hooks to move it around. No rake men and no laser level? Although that crete does look really easy to work with. No vibrating screed either. No duct tape on the bolts to keep concrete off the threads.

    • @OdellCompleteConcrete
