Built the trap. Lured wyvern inside it multiple times, lost 3 lymantrias over the course of doing it. Not once did the wyvern stay inside the trap long enough to get knocked. Reccomend trapping and attempting to place additional pillars immediately after to close it inside
Or place a gate at the entrance.
@proganerxdave6720 exactly. Just something to seal it in shortly after it enters the pillar trap
Or just place a metal billboard before it escapes
Slope matters. Gotta build it so that to exit the trap they have to fly uphill.

Teach thank you so very much and I am gonna have a lot with my wyvern on socroched earth.
I believe chainsaw also does the topor trick like the hatchet. Used to K.O. maywings on ASE with it as as a kinda party trick, weird as that sounds. Think it still works friend accidently hit my giga with their chainsaw and it started getting topor.
So, I have built a trap for many flyers, wyv, owls, griff, etc. They are C shaped like block letters. They go in one end of the C and then turn twice then the end has pillars to stop them. No doors/gates to mess with AI. Works all the time just a bit more mats.

can you do that instead of givin it milk?
It doesnt work, hp resets to normal after few seconds
@@silverfalcon2119 It does work. It resests to its default hp because a baby creature never has full health until fully mature.
Its still working as of now 28.04.2024.
I do it the following way:
Let it drop to under 200 points
Heal it up to 2k and repeat
At 50% growth my LvL 145 dropped back to 3400 Health Points, when healed to max. Wouldn't heal them to max its just a waste of materials.
All good until you imprint and it asks for wyvern milk. Cryopods don’t reset anymore
Doesnt work anymore. The wyvern just turns around and flies out

@@Phil-gc2qhon my server there are no oil veins free and I decided to get some dung bettles to obtain both oil and fertilizer
As long you don’t use too much, dung beetle will be just fine, but if you want more oil, more bugs

agreed with other comments, sadly this trap wont work either, it just drops under the back pillar, same as every other similar one to this
What level do wyverns max out at?
Doesn’t hold wyvern at all. I built in the exact spot as in vid.
I suspect that the recent update changed the AI to fly down and out.
mine just flies away when i lure it to the trap

I managed lure it into the trap a few times, but it flied away after my first shot

You dont even need a wyvrrn trap... just knock em out with darts takes like 5 shots

why not, just use normal bullets for easy kill

Good trap if you're just starting and trying to raise your first wyv. I cant use a wyv to kite on this trap so useless for me :(

You should to play without GCM for the tutorials, to make it look realistic with official settings 🤷🏻♂️ you are in single player anyways.
Just put a bemouth gate at the end and close them in.
The new AI makes it so they avoid gates entirely so chances are it will just avoid the trap altogether if you use a gate.
Doesnt work, always gets out, built to spec and fails everytime. Wyvern always finds it's way out and back to the trench. Lame

Like every single comment. Trap didn't work for me. Trying a new location but he just turned around and flew right out. But leave this up farm them views.
