This was issued in 1938 on the flip side of a new composition entitled Prologue to Black and Tan Fantasy. It was one of several times that Ellington pushed the limits if 3 minutes plus time of 78s with a tune you had to turn over in the middle.
Bigard and Carney are both superb here.

REAL jazz, not "smooth jazz" not swing, not R&B. Just Jazz. Ellington was a master.
