    Anyone who watches this video in 2023, if you're really interested in learning this game, don't watch this video first. Get any trial deck you want and read the rules of the game on their first. Once you've done that, you can come back here and actually understand the game. This video doesnt do a very good job at really explaining what's happening.

  • @michaelemerson570

    Although this is a good starting point, there are a few things skipped and also one thing wrong. Firstly, you miss the Clock Phase on player one's turn (which in my opinion is imperative in order to build a decent hand of cards) and also, it's not mentioned that your clock or level area's cards colour is important as it determines which colour cards you can play from level 1 or above. Also, it's important to differentiate Encore ability and Encore Step. The Encore Step can only be performed during the active player's turn; not the apponent being attacked. If their character has an Encore ability that is a different thing. Not to mention countering and Climax trigger effects not being mentioned

      this has given me hope that a funny gimick deck may actually be viable >:3
      i didn't know you could do that, only thought encore was usable when something was sent the the waiting room during the encore step/battle step. Didn't know Encore just brought it back when ever it would be sent away. that's just funny, and i love it.

      Yea you gotta be on the hall and pre order. If something you would have liked released before you might be out of luck

    • @ArchToAchilles
      @ArchToAchilles 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      They print each set only once. The only "exception" is when they decide to print a different set for the new season of a show/IP (for example; Attack on Titan is about to get a third set for the show's final season).
      Since each set only prints once, the older sets tend to be VERY expensive and the trial decks become almost impossible to find.
      Like the other person said, you really gotta keep up with set releases & pre-order what you want.

Another question, can one have a "competent" deck today with old card sets? For other games, the brand new cards usually are so much better than the old.

    As a new player, this video is a confusing introduction to the game. It was much better for me to read the rules and then re-watch this video to get a basic sense of the flow/pace.
    This video fails to elaborate on rules (example: 0:26 This is called a mulligan and is optional), explain why things are done (for example; putting cards in the waiting room), and occasionally omits rules entirely (such as the Clock phase on p1's turn).
    For the fellow confused new players here, I HIGHLY recommend reading the rules that come with the trial decks first BEFORE watching this video.

    • @Excramunecreo
      @Excramunecreo ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks a lot! Same for me, I have just discover this game and I don't know any about it! The video is not the best way to lear the rules. You know if I can find the rules on line? I don't have my own deck yet, and probabli I'll buy a second hand since the current sets are not my favorites.

      The game has two major formats: Standard and Neo-standard. Standard allows cards from any series to be put in, and neo-standard (the norm) states that only one series can be in a deck. Neo-standard became a thing because of how OP you could get when you can mix series in a deck.

    I like TCG but I'm just too dumb to track everything in a card gameplay. They should make an online version of this. Of course, to play the online game, people need to buy the physical card and put the serial or scan the card to make it appear or use the card online. This way the physical sale will still ongoing or perhaps will gain more sales.

That mean we have to be carefull setting our own deck. We can't just randomly put any card we like in the deck.
    Inconclusion, it isn't surprising if u can't even attack on the first turn. I'm just glad at least we can drop higher level card into waitng room and draw again.
