    MOAR AURORA! :)
Seriously....I just watched your reaction to Through the Eyes of a Child, and it was obvious you 100% get the beauty and creativity and profundity of her music.
To me, her music more than anything, is all about deep DEEP emotional intelligence. It's very very emotional music, which is not easy to do and not come off cheesy or cloying. There's a total lack of pretense or gimmick in what she does. She's as real as a human being can get.

I see by your reaction that you 'get it'. There is a deeper level to Aurora that some seem to experience more than others. I can tell by how someone reacts: "A certain depth that I can't put my finger on." "Otherworldly" "An Angel". There's definitely something special about Aurora beyond being an incredible artist. I'm not sure if your have already heard "Through the Eyes of a Child", but even if you have heard the Nidarosdomen version, look for the "Vevo UK Lift" version. It's 'a cappella', and sublime. Another song that I really 'feel' is one from her new album 'Inhale exhale'. Enjoy your Aurora journey!

She has so many great performances and songs, but this one is probably my favorite from her. Always mesmerizing and emotional. Every time I listen to it. She sings from her heart and soul. She is very in the song. And the topic is very heavy (and sad) but also with optimistic elements and message. It is about someone struggling in a dark times and dark emotions (in a bad moment in a life). It could even end with "offering" (suicide) but then this person realized that even if it can look hopeless in such times you just need to go through it (and not surrender) and there will be better. And this person saw a light for a first time (from the long time) and she is happy she is alive (even if no many ppl know about it and this past struggle).
And even more mind-blowing is that she started to write song in a age of 9, and finished/polished it a little later.
Ps. Reaction probably was a little cut down as ending suddenly when you are commenting it :). But i liked it very much.

Watching Aurora can be emotionally exhausting but her fans wouldn't want to miss a single second. Take a look at "Walking In The Air" from this concert to see the magic Aurora brings in covering a song by another writer. The song is from the animated movie "The Snowman" from 1982, which is on British TV every Christmas. Also "Winter Bird" is amazing.

Through the Eyes of a Child and Lucky are both my favorite soul ripping performances of hers. You should check out some of her music videos. The one for the Seed is a masterpiece, and Running with the Wolves is included. It’s a total change of pace from these emotional live performances, but so powerful and awesome. Check them out!

    Lovely reaction 🤗
After all these years I’m still amazed that she wrote this when she was only 9 years old, it’s her anti-suicide song ❤️
    Could you please react to:
“It Happened Quiet” live at CURRENT
This song is inspired by domestic violence, she gets killed and in the end she comes back to haunt him
“Murder Song(5,4,3,2,1)” live at the Nobel Peace Prize concert 2015
    This is about mercy killing.
She doesn’t want to live anymore and she knows that he’ll do anything for her.
    ✌️🌍❤️

Hi Shahin, she's so deep into the story she's thinking about. Her facial expression is just the result. At that moment AURORA was somewhere but not in the cathedral. You saw her eyes. She was somewhere else.
The song is her way of suicide prevention. A masterpiece. And you have to consider that she started writing this song when she was 9 years old. What child at that age thinks about this topic? And creates such a song as a result? The person she's singing about is happy to be alive - but no one knows about it. That means the person is all alone with her feelings. AURORA certainly speaks to the soul of many people. AURORA's voice is great and works phenomenal in the cathedral.
This song is different and will inspire you at least as much:
    - The Seed (Official Video - VEVO) - th-cam.com/video/_Mc_OM5oNA8/w-d-xo.html - it's about the climat change
There are two very unusual concerts by AURORA. One is in the Cathedral Nidarosdomen and the other in a forest where she played a lot as a child. The concert (HAIK) in the forest was organized by NRK TV. But it's not just a concert. They surprised AURORA with different things for a whole day. She was supposed to do a small concert (only 1 song) in front of two fans. Pure emotions, I can tell you that. Then a singer, Ane Brun, sang a song by AURORA just for her. Then another surprise and finally the concert in the forest (7 songs, approx. 40 minutes), which in itself is amazing, fantastic, enchanting... The most important thing about the documentary (38 minutes) are the interviews that are conducted in the car on the way. There you can learn a lot about AURORA.
    - AURORA HAIK Full Version - th-cam.com/video/n_uW-0HDWoc/w-d-xo.html - approx. 1h:16m
    HAIK- Interview
    Interviewer:
Aurora, how would you describe your upbringing?
    AURORA:
I grew up in a very free environment. I was given the freedom to be exactly what I wanted. When I brought home some fantasy friends, Mom and Dad covered them on the table. I got respect when I didn't want to celebrate my birthday. "OK, that's fine." No pressure to change me from home. No need for tags or diagnostic or... Just completely free. I didn't think much about what I was. Why I felt a little different. I didn't think much of it. It's strange when people have to think about something being wrong.
    Interviewer:
When did you realize that others might see you as a little different?
    AURORA:
I didn't think of it until that in 7th grade, maybe. Then it was something that we took such a Mensa (IQ) test. I remember being teased by someone for getting very good results. They said it was because... And then they laughed a little to themselves. I wondered why they laughed at it. Then they laughed, because they thought they "understood" that I was autistic. Because I was weird. It was probably the first time someone laughed at me. The worst thing was that I didn't understand why it was funny. So I didn't understand why they laughed. And it was very disgusting to notice that they realized I didn't understand why they laughed. I felt very outside, in such a way that I didn't understand. Or that they assumed I didn't understand. Just like I couldn't understand that they were rude.
Don't get me wrong and think I had a bad childhood. I had a very good childhood. Had a great time whit myself. More like that on the inside. I felt like I didn't belong. No matter how much i tried. But I am put together in a way that makes it go really well.
    Have a nice day and
    Greetings from Germany

I get how a child was able to write this. so glad she found her way out of the dark and has continued to use this medium to fight back against the darkness. I also nearly dint survive my childhood. also young adult life.

Might be a bit premature here, but you should probably do yourself a favor and watch (and react to) the whole concert -- it's just under 1 hour...: th-cam.com/video/XXVwFvkNTEg/w-d-xo.html
Turn on captions for a decent translation for when she talks

If you checkout Nightwish the live song Ghostlove Score, live at Waken, it will change your life forever, Floor is the best vocalist in the world. The band play better live than the studio, plus the Nightwish army will come in droves to help you recommend more of the most amazing songs of all time. I was hooked and I still am. 🤘🤘❤️🤘🤘
