Listen to the people who know from the past…. I’m not saying the Tories are any better… But trust me don’t let Labour run the economy or we will all be out of our jobs and down the shitter
I love when they say to get a higher paying job- right lads, let us all quit our jobs and work in an industry that pays high, no need for all the low paid jobs at all clearly, so let's not do them, sure that wouldn't cause any issues at all... Just pay people more and tax the rich!
Lemme tell you this was what exactly same thing the mayor of Miami said as the state had a 40% increase in rents. Miami had a 45% increase while the national average was 15%. Meanwhile the average salary in the city was about the same as in Oklahoma city ($51k)
Even the brain Surgeon needs his theatre cleaned and his bins emptied. Or how about every hotel filthy coz the cleaners have packed the job in too.!!
That’s always my first reponse, too. If we’re all supposed to become bankers and hedge fund managers, then who grows and harvests the food? Who empties the bins, who drives the trains, etc. The obvious answer is to *make* these necessary jobs higher paying, not for them to get higher-paying jobs.
Exactly, so then the supermarkets will have no staff apart from the managers, the bars and cafes will have no staff except the business owners, hospitals will have no cleaners or porters and probably no nurses, there will be no delivery drivers, no teaching assistants, no carers and no rubbish collectors. The country would collapse.
@@explorer0213 True, one is very low skilled the other very highly skilled involving years of study and practical training.
Surely you are not suggesting they both should be equally paid ? If not how many times should a top surgeon be paid to a cleaner ?
A well know US Billionaire recognised as the worlds greatest investor, always says the best investment you can make is in yourself.
Birmingham you do Britain proud 😊
Why on earth did the West Midlands vote a Tory mayor?
I thought we were sposed to vote these people in ( for what that’s worth) so now they vote themselves in. All part of the new normal I spose
I love that first person! Hahahaha
Amen
Shared to Twitter 😉
we need a general election now!
Us Brummies aren't quite as dumb as we look.... or sound. Majority of us wouldn't be caught dead voting Tory
You also smell dumb and I wouldn't taste a Brummie for a million quid
So what you are saying is the interviews were biased because all were Labour voters ?
"Just fuck off lads "🤣
These longer form vox pops really show the thoughtfulness and intelligence of most ordinary people. Joe does a far better job than the established media outlets that just go out in the day when people are at work to find out if touch pensioners. These feel far more nuanced and representative.
Sad part is none of these expressed outrage for this government will be remembered by the next election - 2025. The Tories know this and they will exploit this opportunity - the public's short term memory.
I doubt it though when the polls tells us that labour votes are higher than conservative currently. It's for sure that Labour would win the next election as it has been nearly 15 of Tory party rule.
Don’t think people will forget low wages, higher taxes, mortgages, costs of living/fuel/food or even losing their homes.
Love this channel, getting real-time feedback from people on the streets on their lives and feelings. This needs to happen more often so this failing government know they are on the way out whilst trashing the country.
Their arrogance and belief they can carry on screwing over the majority of ppl is coming back at speed to bite them…
"A piss take" spot on.
"Somethings gotta give at some point" Well yes, but it only will if young people go out and vote. The Tories are a problem because of apathy and disengagement. Millenials (like myself) are the single largest voting block now. We used to blame Brexit on the old (with a lot of justification) but it was also because too many of the young didn't bother to turn up to the voting booth. When you leave the business of voting to the old, you get perpetual Tories.
Unfortunately, simply voting in labour has been proved time and again to be inadequate and the youth can see that.
@@djdrogs Yeah because God forbid we have an inadequate government... 🙄
Don't put all older people in the same boat.I am 68..never voted tory and never will
They do understand the problems, they don't care, it's that simple, don't vote for them!!
Furlough payments, Cost of living payments and Energy price cap. A lot of not caring.
There's a Tim Hortons in Birmingham?!?!
Sign the petition for general election now
I did and said No.
"Lizzie dear, jump under the red double-decker Brexit bus without a fuss!" In other words, quote from Delboy: "Just NAFF OFF!"
Like Charlie Chuck's Dooble Decker bar advert, wiff CHOCOLATE! See TV advert clip on YT, with noodles! Funny man he is or was... yeah. Sureal.
“I’m shopping at Poundland now” 💀💀
"they hate poor people" sums up the Tory party. They need to leave. Tories out!
let someone else have a go - no lies told here
Hardly a well reasoned argument.
Nice bunch of people, very down to earth 👍
Even the outgoing boss of shell said today, he thinks the energy companies should be taxed, so why has truss funded that cap with our tax payers money, do people not see we are going to end up paying for this shit no matter what. Truss wants us as slaves, that is the world economic Forum mandate, keep a working class that produces, and those that don't will be terminated, to keep ruling class in luxury, theirs a bigger picture to all this
@3:40 In fairness, when it comes to Liz Truss, I think I'd prefer more words and less action. Her words make all kinds of sweet promises, but her actions are spiteful, selfish and poisonous.
I'm no fan of this so-called United Kingdom, but I fucking adore its people.
Birmingham is my paternal grandmothers home town, she was beautiful just like everyone else in that beautiful city.
All of these people, the City of Birmingham, should run the government. They are smarter and more decent than anyone who has been in government in my lifetime. And I'm no kid. Let these people take over.
Yes that's definitely Birmingham 💯, can't wait till the rail fares double to pay for the pay rise ,love we pay these peoples benifits
The end is near when you can't help but agree with everything the brummies are saying
Aye it.......Ahhhh

Birmingham has a Labour Council.
The problem is, a lot of these fine people want the Tories to have some empathy for the non-very-rich. The Tories have no empathy, they lack that capacity, so they can do shit stuff and sleep well at night in their fully heated homes after a nice dinner
I ain't young (by a long way) but all the young opinions here are fucking heartbreaking. #FuckTheTories
Don't forget we're going to open up new .........pork markets !

If it carries on the way it is, we're al fucked - couldn't have said it better myself
Haha bro mentioned the pieces of crap "ukip" 🤣🤣🤣
The consensus at some level is “ they are out of touch” …. Maybe all MPs should be given an apprenticeship.. bit like Universal Credit claimants are offered.. and part of the prerequisite, is to live on benefits monies in a deprived area… even for three months… otherwise how are they representative of the electorate and yes otherwise they do seem out of touch.. especially the public school Jacob Mogg “I don’t know anything types”types…they live in a different world
Like so many other democracies in the world, the British voter is more likely to back the club (party) rather than working on issues and problems with their local representatives. The result is the complete breakdown of rational governance and its replacement by people without a shred of sensibility in positions of power.

Democracy and capitalism are in conflict in U K. This administration is enamored with the latter and lost touch with the will and well being of the people.
Basically, the Tories against the mini budget is basically a vote of no confidence. But the government will limp along, turning in circles, trying to get dry.
