17:43 yes he did play a land per turn
I love the modern content! It would be neat if the cam was a little less shaky.
We are gong to start testing out a new set up for the camera starting next week, if things work out for it you should see an improvement to the footage by June
@@NanMansNerdCorner Sweet, looking forward to it! Also, I love having pop-up images of the cards in person gameplay footage since it's sometimes difficult to see what's in play with the glare on the sleeves. So thank you for that!
29:18 - Didn’t the prowess player have lethal? Bolt end of turn, untap breach bolt bolt flashback dart?
I think you are correct, could be the stress of game 3 and wanting to make sure they are playing more reactionary instead of just closing the game out. That's part of the fun of doing recordings players can watch back and see lines they might have missed or see additional lines they might not have considered as much in the moment.
@@NanMansNerdCorner- absolutely agree! Wasn’t a dig, more a comment for the player to see if they end up watching the video 😊
@@WizardSquares I appreciate the comments on other lines not just for the players in the video but for others considering playing these decks as well 😄
I LOVE slickshot show-off!!! it's my favorite cad from OTJ.
Slickshot is crazy, the 2 power for "prowess" is a very fast clock
@@NanMansNerdCorner Yeah, I know! I'm planning on picking up a 4th copy of the card!
Murktide player has played a very bad 3rd match: You've seen that the opponent's deck plays Stomping Ground, so should know that after sideboard at least 2-3 copies of Pick Your Poison has been sided in; why do You have played not 1, not 2, but 3 Murktide Regent without a counter to protect at least one of them? The board was relatively clear, You weren't in a hurry to play a threat to close the match quickly... Or am i missing something?
I think the stress of wanting to close out the game while also playing against a newer deck was too much. I will say your read is correct that seeing players running green you should anticipate some number of Pick your poisons.
Sometimes you make more mistakes playing against a new deck until you can learn the lines
These players aren’t very good, was this an event or just messing about?
Just a regular weekly so very loosey goosey not a regional or qualifier. Part of the reason to record up gameplay is so players can learn from mistakes and learn alternative lines they could make. I would call them both decent players though
