Here's something I was thinking of when you mentioned the Pickpocket move. Dodger would nab an item from a fighter, but it would be an item already in the fighter's move list. When the opponent tries to use that move, it wouldn't work. This would make Dodger dangerously good in the right hands, plus something that outright takes moves from another character hasn't been done much before.
That would also be interesting! Just the thought of a pick pocket type move seems neat. I highly doubt he will get in, but who knows, maybe I’ll end up being wrong.
@@Naterz_ I also had this idea for the option of switching voice actors like having Billy West voice Bugs, Scott Innes voice Shaggy and Mindy Cohn and BJ Ward voice Velma.
Thank you! I didn’t even realize how many gun moves I had until making dodgers character card and thinking about it. Maybe it’s overkill, but the guns do all work for a moveset
Neo absolutely has to be in the game. The Matrix is a very iconic action sci-fi movie and an influence in pop-culture, and a gun-weilding, martial artist with superpowers would be a very fun character. It was even one of the worlds they visited in Space Jam: A New Legacy and was present in The LEGO Batman Movie with the crossover villains, so WB is definitely keen on using it in their crossovers. There's also a datamined banner in the files that somewhat resembles the raining green code in the movie, so that's a good sign. I'm not too interested in The Mask personally, but a fair amount of people want him and he definitely has moveset potential so I'm sure he'd make a fine addition to the game. His animations would be pretty fun and up there with Marvin's as some of the best in the game too. Grimm just feels like a choice chosen for the sake of being obscure, to be honest. A realistic bank robber doesn't really feel like the ideal character for a platform fighter, and we're most definitely getting a very famous clown with an affinity for guns and explosives when the game returns. I'm really not a fan of Jim Carrey's style of comedy to be honest, and I feel like one wacky cartoonish Jim Carrey character is enough for this game. I really don't enjoy the style of movie Ace Ventura is, so I'm just gonna stick with The Mask if we had to have one of his characters, since they have more demand and moveset potential. Sorry, but again, Fingers/Dodger feels like another obscure for the sake of obscure character choice; can't inagine too many players would be happy if him of all characters were announced when the game comes back. I will say the pickpocketing idea is unique, but I don't think it's enough to carry the character. As for the recurrence of the Gun Blast special, while it's true that you can have them use the gun in different ways, there's only so many different ways you can have someone fire a pistol and have it be unique mechanically. It's a bit harder to win me over with some of these obscure choices when half of them are being pitched with "they used a gun at one point." Also, how did you have a list of 90s WB movie characters and not have the International Man of Mystery himself, Austin Powers? They even visit his movie in Space Jam 2.
Somehow Austin Powers slipped through my mind, and he would definitely be a great character choice. I’m not sure how I forgot him, but I definitely should have included him. Maybe swapped out for Grimm. Thank you for all the feedback, I enjoy reading it!
I hadn't heard of Quick Change before this video and it sounds interesting and funny. I think the Mask would be an awesome inclusion. I feel like they might add something from the Matrix eventually but I'm not sure what. I think I remember seeing Monkey Trouble at Blockbuster, but I don't remember ever watching it. Two Jim Carrey characters in the same video is kinda funny but makes sense. I've seen some demand for Ace from fans. I think if I had to choose only one from this list, I'd probably go with the Mask. The iconic matchup of him vs Bugs Bunny or Tom and Jerry would be great to see.
I agree that the mask should be the Jim Carey rep. He has a lot more moveset potential in my opinion. I’m glad you liked the quick change portion. And I definitely agree, I’d expect to see some sort of matrix representation at some point
Hah, I can’t believe I didn’t think about that! I envision dodgers being different still. Villager can only steal projectiles, Dodger would steal any item when he jumps onto an opponent.
He seems interesting! I haven’t watched the film, but I’ll definitely have to add it to my list of movies to watch. I do believe it was one of the titles I originally looked at when determining the characters for this video, I just ended up finding other characters before I got to him.
I feel like the mask could be more of a customizable character each class having different special moves because the idea of the mask (in the comics at least) is anyone could become a monster if no one knows who you are. Lore wise. Each class could be a random person from a different property finding the mask like the mage is from the rwby universe and the bruiser from DC and so on. The gimmick of the mask is transforming in the mask (or big head form ) more and more leads to the character losing health and if used for too long, and especially playing on a team may cause your attacks to not just hurt enemies but team members as well Each class get a class special move based on jokes and scenes from the comics like mage gets the Tommygun trick and tank gets WALTER clash where walter (an hulking henchman that fights with whoever wields it to get revenge and curiosity about the mask) tracks down the mask and when they released it the enemies that are caught in the middle get a huge impact forward smash.
According to the Wikipedia Ace is owned by WB in partner with Morgan Creek Productions. though I will admit, that could be wrong. Not sure where you are getting your information from, but I still think that even if he is owned by Sony, the rights may be easier to negotiate because they have had ties to the film.
@@Naterz_ My source is the more recent Blu-rays (not the older Warner ones) of the two movies which are distributed by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and them being put in a DVD 3 pack with the movie The Cable Guy which is owned by Sony and that 3 pack is distributed by Mill Creek which Sony licenses out a lot of their films to. Also the rights to most of Morgan Creek's films (with the exception of the first Major League movie which is owned by Paramount, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and that awful Ace Ventura Jr. movie are still owned by Warner Bros.) went to Sony in 2014. Edit: And another thing I doubt they would add anything relating to Ace Ventura considering the fact that both of the Jim Carrey films have some problematic tropes (I love them but Jesus Christ).
Sweet video! Looking foward to the next one

You making a deep cut for this and the previous video is one of the best things I ever wanted as someone interested in this game.
Thank you so much! Hopefully you enjoy the future videos as well!

Cool videos and driving source of your channel watch how many more subs and views you will get when the game comes out…Keep up the good work bro 💯

Kermit
Jason already in MultiVersus it would make sense to include Freddy

Yes to the Mask and Neo
Glad you agree!
the mask no way they will make him broken he would be like tom, jerry and joker on steroids but roger rabbit would be cool to see but hes from the 70s
