@@selfcareizthebestcare You’re right, but that takes too long to do when I’m hot in a crowded store trying to juggle my phone and bags in between other errands and responsibilities and trying to swatch multiple products in one day because I don’t know when the next time I’ll get around to doing this is. Maybe one day, my page will get big enough for brands to send me products to swatch at home or someone in this skintone range with more time and bandwidth will take uo this mantle. Here’s hoping. Then again, even if I could do this at home, waiting for them to dry with me and sitting there not being able to move my arm and do other things while I wait. It would just be terribly inconvenient for me, even though I understand what you’re saying because many foundation shades definitely do change Upon dry down. Also, when foundation shades dry, they are harder to get off of my arm, causing me to either have to scrub my arm (especially for the shades that are darker than me). Scubbing turns my arm pink, but trying to get the darker shades off after they have dried without scrubbing too hard leaves my arm stained; both of these options (stained darker or pink from scrubbing) affect my ability to watch another product on the same day/store visit.
Unfortunately, I am not sure about. I forgot about the conversion chart until you mentioned it. I just re-did swatches of this product at a MAC store, however, because they had the additional shades of NC41 and NC47 that were not available at the Ulta where I did these swatches so check those out when I post them as I hope seeing more photos of NC42 and NC44 next to each other might help.

Do you go by the chart? NC44 should choose NC42 or does it run true to shade number?
