アメリカで最も竜巻が多発する地域は「竜巻街道」と呼ばれ、オクラホマ、カンザス、ネブラスカ、ノースダコタ、サウスダコタなどのグレートプレーンズの州からテキサス州の一部にまたがっています。
竜巻の発生は季節によって異なり、アメリカ中部では春に活発化し、初夏にピークを迎えることが多いです。

The most tornado-prone areas in the U.S. are known as the "Tornado Routes," and they span from the Great Plains states of Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota, to parts of Texas.
Tornado outbreaks vary by season, with the central United States often becoming active in the spring and peaking in early summer.
