Nice video with some great pick ups! 🤩 Retro Giant is an awesome store! There's always stuff in there you won't see anywhere else. Love the Duke Nukem PS1 game - Time to Kill is probably my favourite from that series on that console! 👍
I’ve visited Retro Giant here and there and the first experience was that they managed to do me a deal on a bundle. I do agree how prices are a bit too much, but I do feel as though they charge more as it’s more for collectors purposes and not for casual play when it comes to the retro games.
Yeah it was nice in there don’t get me wrong just my only comment was on the prices. But it’s been going a while now and I suppose they must do well to stay open? Thanks for watching I appreciate it 👍🏻🕹
@retro there is a retro fair in birmingham. The Birmingham Gaming Market returns on Sunday 4th December at The Custard Factory in Digbeth, just a short distance from the city centre.
Wish my bootsales were still running 😫 but £3 entry is ridiculous! Great find on the box of dvds and that on facebay for £5! I can never find anything good like that, it's either crap stuff in boxes or silly prices.
Old games would show the graphics for each of the commodore, spectrum and amstrad so make sure.when listing them you know what system it is for. Keep your eye out for some commodore and spectrum games as they can demand a very high price amstrad not so much
Thats retro game shop I going in to sometimes and for sure the games are way to much as you say cex is not to far away but the guy is helpful just to Expensive.
Nice pick ups, Spectrum games are awesome to pick up. I would imagine that the c64 and Spectrum would have some sort of region lock or different processor types as the same games on each system often look different so I would have thought you would need each system for each game..
Yeah it obvious now that they wouldn’t work on different consoles but I thought maybe they didn’t have that technology back then 😅 thanks for watching 👍🏻🕹
This skylanders figure was worth at least 50£ cex credit there was a lot skylanders imaginatorsthe figure with diamond base, try to look for them if u can get them for 0.50-1£ they are good traders and most ppl dont look for them
Which one? I know some are worth money but I haven’t bothered to do my research 😆 plus there’s always hundred at I don’t want to sift through them all 😅
Hmm I don’t know I’ve been to two others and they seemed bang on with CEX on the cheaper titles although the more expensive ones where more expensive than CEX but you was guaranteed the condition being good 🤷🏼♂️
Nice pick ups.. Jyst added u on ebay 👍 if u find great gianna sisters on commodore.. Its a biggy 😃 was given 2 bags of commodore games free.. That was in there.. Also mario bros is one to look for.. As well as big box ultima on commodore
Each game plays on their computer you can’t mix cassettes, he had them prices about right maybe too pricey. personally I wouldn’t pay more than a £1 for tapes the only exception is for the big box games a few of them can go really well but only on Amstrad 464 or c64,also look out for any games by the “hit-squad” that’s where the money is, some are insane. As mentioned before try gamesnation in the bay, if you ever fancy it I’d gladly meet up with ya only down the road from me👍
Thanks for clearing it up! Yeah I thought I might have paid over on them but there was nothing else to pick up so thought I’d take a punt 😂 I need to get over to games nation! Just need a free weekend 😅👍🏻🕹
I had v on the specky back in the day. I don't visit many retro gaming shops. I should make more of a effort. But yeah sounds like some steep prices in there mate. But hunt about and always a few under priced I bet. Great stuff as always chap.🎮👍
Yeah mate it’s always nice to get out and see some games in a store. Yeah I’m sure there was some bargains in there on other platforms I think I was just unlucky on the PS1 games! Thanks for watching I appreciate it 👍🏻🕹
The guy is nice at the retro giant but as you say the prices are so high there. Went there once a few years ago and had a weird experience, promised me he had replaced the stick in a n64 controller but wouldnt let me try it, took his word for it, went home and it was a shitty old one that was useless. Best bet is popping down to the retro hunter in leigh, ally is a great guy and had great prices. Great to see some retro game hunting videos in essex where I am aswell, hope to bump into you one day for a chat. Keep it up
Yeah he seemed like a good guy his prices were just way off in my opinion? Yeah I’ve popped down to ally a few times already he has a great selection as well. Glad you’re enjoying the videos and if you see my in public come over and say hi 👍🏻🕹
I'm in Dagenham so Retro Giant is very close to me, and yeah I echo what you say pretty much. The guy who works there think his name is Steve he's a nice guy and I've bought the odd thing out of there over the last few years. A lot of the stuff is there is way too overpriced though especially compared to cex and the fact a lot of it isn't mint, I totally get it's an independent store and what not but if he brought prices down a tad I'd get a lot more from there.

Thank you! Yup they had a huge selection that’s for sure! Yeah I loved time to kill back in the day! Thanks for watching 👍🏻🕹
Nice vid fella with some awesome pickups 🔥🔥🔥👍
Thanks mate! 👍🏻🕹

Thanks for the heads up mate but 5 hour round trip is a bit much for me on a Sunday! 👍🏻🕹
@@retro_rummage_ Yeah along way hehe. I am going to hope to get a sness boxed with donkey kong country 1 2 and 3.
Nice video ....some good pick ups ...the spectrum games were all the rage in the 80s around 1982 to 1984 ..
Thank you. A little bit before my time really although I do remember the Commodore 64!
Still not bad finds mate. I miss the bootsales.
It could always be worse I suppose!! Haha get yourself back out there mate must be some still on at the min?
Wish my bootsales were still running 😫 but £3 entry is ridiculous! Great find on the box of dvds and that on facebay for £5! I can never find anything good like that, it's either crap stuff in boxes or silly prices.
Yeah £3 was a bit steep! Yeah man I’ll be doing a video about that pick up on Sunday 👍🏻🕹
I found same at retro giant think prices are too much. Has some good stuff though
prices depend on condition if mint yes worth more to me /plus depends how much he gets to buy them for etc cex is base thats all i focus ebay solds
Yeah I agree however most of these games weren’t mint condition so not sure how he can justify double 😅👍🏻🕹

Thank you mate i’ll bear that in mind. Appreciate you watching 👍🏻🕹

Yeah mate that was the vibe I was getting. Shame really! 👍🏻🕹

Retro Giant does look like a pretty cool store... although granted it's too far away from my place for me to go to.
Yup it’s got loads to offer as long as you’ve got money to burn!

Not one of the better find video's this time but you can't always find the gems 👌 especially this time of the year
Yup that’s it you can’t enjoy the highs without the lows! Thanks for watching
Independent video game stores always seem to charge more than CEX
Hmm I don’t know I’ve been to two others and they seemed bang on with CEX on the cheaper titles although the more expensive ones where more expensive than CEX but you was guaranteed the condition being good 🤷🏼♂️
Hi, no you can't play specific versions on different computers.
Thanks for clearing it up 👍🏻🕹

I aint got a clue with the speecy and amstrad games etc bud 🤣 shame about the prices in the store, perhaps there's, reason why he got so much stock 🤣
I’m the same mate but it’s a good way to learn I suppose! Yeah maybe that’s the reason lol 😆👍🏻🕹
