"Goodness of God" I notice they're not singing about the 4 billion people (and millions of sinless animals) that He drowned. Plus the Egyptian soldiers and the women and children of Jericho. Plus Sodom and Gomorrah. Plus - on the much smaller side - helping David(and others) kill another human being. Not to mention the fact that today, St. Jude's Hospital estimates that one (probably sinless) out five children will die from cancer without any help from the goodness of God.
But shouldn’t a good God judge evil? If there was no judgement for evil then would He be considered good? If you were a judge for a city and people were murdering left and right, wouldn’t punishment be the proper judgement or would you just let them continue doing what they’re doing and hope one day they make better decisions? They know the law, they know the consequences but do it anyway. That’s our corrupted nature my friend, it has nothing to do with God not showing goodness in the way you think, but more so how corrupted we become without Him.
@@TheBLuGatti "But shouldn’t a good God judge evil?" I'm told God created everything. That means He either created the evil that He is punishing innocent beings, or He doesn't have All-power to change the situation. ...it has nothing to do with God not showing goodness in the way you think"... Ah, so you're saying "goodness" is not defined the way English-speaking people were taught what it means. That seems to me yet another instance of religious and biblical obtuse and confusing interpretation that really doesn't mean anything. Thank you for your meaningless meaning.
Praise the Lord
