So I've never heard of Eflin here in the Netherlands so I looked it up, but apparently it is indeed a Dutch girls name! The website I found says it means 'breath of life, bird' and that it is a variation of the English Evelyn. It hovers around 5 babies per year here.
Ooh, I love the idea of you doing angel names! There's an angel with a name close to Cassiel - Castiel - which I would assume is more popular than Cassiel due to a certain tv show (**cough** Supernatural **cough**). I actually thought Castiel was an alternate name for Cassiel, but it must not be as Castiel is the angel of Thursday, not Saturday like Cassiel.
My sister is called Tawny (my parents named her after Tawny Kitaen) and I’ve always thought it was the most beautiful name. Definitely lots of gorgeous names on this list SJ, I really like Eflin!
I find it easier to name girls. We had our daughters name picked within a day of finding out we were having a girl. With our boy we didn’t officially pick until I was 39 weeks pregnant 😂
That’s nothing. I never settle on a name until I meet my little ones and see what truely fits. Sometimes that can take weeks. Names aren’t something you have to rush 💚
Hah! Girl names are super hard for us. I think we just know to many women especially in our family and friends. Boy names are super easy for us to like.
Cosette would definitely be on my list if I was having another! We have a Ramona and it’s perfect for us! Daring where we live (America) but not uncommon where we are from (Latin America)
I love Oaken! And have loved Carys/Cerys but I think where I live we would have to do Carys because it would be pronounced with a soft "c" if we used Cerys. I prefer it with the y for sure! I found it harder to find an abundance of boy names while pregnant relative to girl names, but I had favourites for both by the time our baby came! And he ended with a name my husband had previously vetoed so wasn't on the list anyway. 😂
Oh my goodness! My father's name was Cecil. I've only seen the meaning as "blind" but I prefer the meaning of 6th because he actually was the 6th child!
Love Layken! Adorable. I can also see making slight changes and making it a girl name..we struggle with girl names. We have one daughter named Hazel. That was our one and only girl name. We have about 4 solid boy names (first and middle) but no other girl names!
Yay. My bestie’s name is Cedar! We are in our 40s now (friends since 13) and always had jokes about it growing up and also many compliments ❤️ But I’ve always loved it.
I like hearing names that sound similar in different languages, Deema is very popular name in the Arab countries, in Arabic it mens light rain, like in summer rain or a little rainy cloud.
Having my second baby boy and I find them so difficult! They are either too popular or too boring. I love Layken though! My first son's name is Maclan (Mack-lin), and I think they go nicely together. I will be running that one past my husband. :)
Pretty names. Baylor is popular here in the US. Bay would be a cute nickname. I really worry about Huck for a nickname. Anything that rhymes with another not-so-nice name would concern me. Kids can be so mean.
I loved the name Annaliese but we already had a niece Ana. So I took my mother-in-laws name (Marie) and my grandmother (Mary) and named my daughter Mariliese. (Mariliese Josette). After picking her name I found out Elise was my husband's great grandmother's name so she's named after three generations of women in our families. We're having a second girl and I'm learning towards Esmé but I need a beautiful J middle name so we can all have J's in our names. My husband's starts with J and my middle name is a J.

Struggling to find a boy name my Fiancé and I can agree on. We need something that’s unique but common enough for Adams side of the family. Currently we have Spencer & Peyton.
I know a girl named Carissa, she's the sweetest! 😊 I would say zebad-eye-ah 😂 I know someone named Delina (deleena). Great name! And Del as a nickname is super cool!
On one side my grandfather is Cecil Herbert (my mother is Cecily) and the other is Stanley Robert. I love Cecil and Stanley as names but I had two girls ❤
Cassiel, Cecil, Hendrick, Jesper, Locksley, Ramone, Tor & Torin/Lor, Zikora, Bess, Carmell & Carmello, Cosette, Delyth, Fradel , Larae, Lunara, Navaya, and Tawny are cute. Del is a cute nickname.
