    I actually was emptying the tumbler this way this morning and it was taking to long as it was fully composted on both sides. After watching your video, I decided to put a tarp underneath it and dumped both sides simutaneously. We picked the tarp up and dumped it into the cart. Thanks, your video did help!

    I’ve had the exact same composter for about 7 years and just learned how to use it correctly from you in this video! Nothing ever turned to compost in it and I had decided to give it away. Now I’m going to keep it and actually use it properly to create compost for my garden! Thank you so much for this video and all of your videos!!!

    Thank you. I was just outside trying to empty mine and was confused bc the divider was blocking my emptying ability. I thought ‘there has to be a how to video’ and yours answered my question. I really appreciate you making this video.

    Thank you for this video. It is good to know that there can be some small things that aren't completely broken down. I have been unsure when I can use my compost. I started it last summer in a large compost bin (not a tumbler). Have a great day!

      You're welcome ! A large compost bin sounds good , I wanted to do one on the ground but my pet Pig will eat that out lol

    I have just ordered a compost tumbler and will be mainly putting grass trimmings and sawdust and a few large leaves from the garden as I cut them back. Do I need to add any water?

      Yes water helps break it down .. cut everything smaller so it decomposes faster ..

    How do you prevent it from clumping up into balls when you rotate the drum?

      You could add more 'brown' material like dry leaves or cardboard and even some soil that will help

    I'm curious, how long does it take for food to turn into usable compost?

    • @Greentgarden
      @Greentgarden  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It could take 1 - 6 months .. but if you cut the stuff smaller, it will decompose faster.. It takes me about one month to get compost ..
